We see it frequently in the cities we live in lately. Municipalities work for their citizens to lead a more comfortable life. They prepare for green spaces and sports centers where they can spend time as a family in the community, travel, do sports and perform social activities. I would like to talk to you about the Weaving Park and Botanical Garden, which is specially prepared for those who want to see all the beauties of nature and wander in the fresh air in a green area, presented to local and foreign people by Kepez Municipality in Antalya.

Son zamanlarda yaşadığımız şehirlerde sıkça görüyoruz. Belediyeler, vatandaşlarını daha rahat yaşam sürdürmeleri için çalışırlar. Toplumda ailecek vakit geçirebilecekleri, gezebilecekleri, spor yapabilecekleri ve sosyal aktivitelerini gerçekleştirebilecekleri yeşil alanlar ve spor merkezleri için hazırlarlar yaparlar. Doğanın tüm güzelliklerini görmek ve yeşil bir alanda temiz havada dolaşmak isteyenler için özel olarak hazırlanmış, Antalya'da Kepez Belediyesinin yerli ve yabancı halkına sunmuş olduğu Dokuma Park, Botanik Bahçeden sizlere bahsetmek istiyorum.

The Botanical Garden, where thousands of plant species and trees are exhibited in a huge area in the very heart of the city, has become one of the most frequented places of the people of Kepez in recent times. Weaving Park, which is the lifeblood of the city, has a toy museum, car museum, botanical garden and everything in the name of art and culture. I will tell you about the beauties of the botanical garden.

Belediyenin, şehrin tam göbeğinde devasa büyüklükteki bir alanda, içerisinde binlerce bitki türü ve ağaçların sergilendiği Botanik Bahçe, Kepez halkının son zamanlardaki en çok uğrak yerlerinden biri olmaya aday olmuştur. Şehrin can damarı olan Dokuma Park da oyuncak müzesi, araba müzesi, botanik bahçe ve sanat kültür adına her şey mevcuttur. Ben sizlere botanik bahçenin güzelliklerinden bahsedeceğim.

Botanical Garden is a recreation and sightseeing area where citizens can have a good time, built in Dokuma district, located in Antalya's Kepez district. I can say that the construction works of this park area, which the people of Antalya are looking forward to, took 4 years. When you enter the Weaving Park, you first see walking areas and parks built for children. After you pass the walking area, you come across a large door made of wooden planks and slats painted in dark brown. On the upper part of the door, the text of "Weaving Park Botanical Garden" is written with a green sign.

Botanik Bahçe, Antalya'nın Kepez ilçesinde yer alan, Dokuma semtinde yapılan ve vatandaşların güzel vakit geçirebilecekleri dinlenme ve gezi alanıdır. Antalya halkının sabırsızlıkla beklediği bu park alanının yapım çalışmalarının 4 yıl sürdüğünü söyleyebilirim. Dokuma Parktan içeri girdiğinizde ilk olarak yürüyüş alanları ve ve çocuklar için yapılmış olan parklar görüyorsunuz. Yürüyüş alanını geçtikten sonra, karşınıza ahşap tahtalardan ve koyu kahverengiyle boyanmış çıtalardan oluşturulmuş büyük bir kapı çıkıyor. Kapının üst kısmında yeşil tabela ile Dokuma Park Botanik Bahçe yazısı yazıyor.

When you enter through this big and beautiful door, you hear the chirping of birds. You can feel the smell of soil, plants and trees in your lungs in this area where there are hundreds of bird species. They have designed the area so beautifully that you can visit the whole area completely thanks to the writings on the directions and signs. The area is also decorated with lush and beautifully designed ready-made lawns. A pool was created in the middle of the garden. There are even toy cars floating on the surface of the pool water for the children to have fun. In addition, the view of the pine trees rising from the rocks on the surface of the water added a different beauty to the surrounding. I can say that the roads I walk are made of red soil, which makes the environment feel more authentic. What I liked the most was that they decorated the branches of plants with flowers and made sequential paths in the form of arches. I can say that walking through this beautiful authentic sight and smelling the flowers gave me great pleasure.

Bu büyük ve güzel olan kapıdan içeri girdiğinizde, kuş seslerinin cıvıltılarını duyuyorsunuz. Yüzlerce kuş çeşidinin olduğu bu alanda toprağın ,bitkinin ve ağacın kokusunu akciğerlerinizde hissediyorsunuz. Alanı o kadar güzel tasarlamışlar ki yönlendirme ve tabelalar da yazılan yazılar sayesinde tüm alanı eksiksiz gezebiliyorsunuz. Alan, yemyeşil ve güzel tasarlanmış hazır çimenlerle de süslenmiştir. Bahçenin tam ortasında bir havuz oluşturulmuş. Havuz suyunun yüzünde çocukların eğlenmeleri için suda yüzen oyuncak arabalar bile düşünülmüş. Ayrıca suyun yüzeyindeki kayaların arasından yükselen çam ağaçlarının görüntüsü de etrafa ayrı bir güzellik katmış. Yürüdüğüm yolların kırmızı toprak parçasından oluşu da ortamı daha otantik bir havaya soktuğunu söyleyebilirim. En çok hoşuma giden de bitki dallarını çiçeklerle süsleyerek, kemer şeklinde sıralı yollar yapmalarıydı. Bu güzel otantik görünün yolun içinden yürümek ve çiçekleri koklamak bana büyük bir keyif verdi diyebilirim.

I have to say that in the garden where plant varieties are rich, there are also time-defying tree species. I saw various different types of plants on display inside, including the Japanese Garden, the Tropical Plants Garden, Rock and Alpine plants. You enter through the white colored door in the old building specially designed for the bougainvillea garden. They kept the round tree root in both parts of the door. They also placed naturally formed rock fragments on the grassy areas to look beautiful.

Bitki çeşitlerinin zengin olduğu bahçede, Zamana meydan okuyan ağaç türlerinin de olduğunu söylemem gerekiyor. İçeride Japon Bahçesi, Tropik Bitkiler Bahçesi, Kaya ve Alpin bitkileri olmak üzere çeşitli farklı türlerde bitkilerin sergilendiğini gördüm. Özellikle Begonvil bahçesi için özel tasarlanmış eski yapıda beyaz renkli kapıdan içeri giriyorsunuz. Kapının her iki bölümünde yuvarlak ağaç kökünü bulundurmuşlar. Bir de doğal oluşumlu kaya parçalarının çimenlik alanlara güzel görünmesi için yerleştirmişler.

The Botanical Garden also carries the traces of the local culture of Antalya. When we move towards Antalya's past, they say that the majority of the people are nomads. Yörük consists of Turkish Tribal societies that adopt a nomadic lifestyle. There is a fountain in the garden that was built for the nomadic people. They tried to show that water is of great importance for the nomadic people here as well. At the very end of the garden, they built a castle by putting old curved small stones on top of each other. They made a cistern by making the roof of the castle round with a cement mold. They defined the name of this cistern as the olive cistern. The sign of Zeytinli Cistern was located right next to it. On the sign; It was written that the Kepez cisterns, built by the nomads centuries ago on the "Migration Routes", are elegant structures that are the legacy of our deep-rooted civilization accumulation.

Botanik Bahçe, Antalya yöresel kültürünün izlerini de taşıyor. Antalya'nın geçmişine doğru yol aldığımızda halkın çoğunluğunun yörük olduğunu söylerler. Yörük, göçebe yaşam tarzını benimseyen Türk Aşiretli toplumlardan oluşmaktadır. Bahçede yörük halkı için yapılmış olan çeşme bulunuyor. Yörük halkı için suyun büyük bir önemi olduğunu burada da göstermeye çalışmışlar. Bahçenin en sonuna eski kıvrımlı küçük taşları üst üste koyarak kale oluşturmuşlar. Kalenin çatısını çimento kalıbıyla yuvarlak yaparak bir sarnıc yapmışlar. Bu sarnıcın adını da zeytinli sarnıcı olarak tanımlamışlar. Zeytinli Sarnıcın tabelası da hemen yanında yer alıyordu. Tabelada ; Yörüklerin yüzyıllar önce "Göç Yolları" üzerine inşa ettiği Kepez sarnıçları köklü medeniyet birikimimizin mirası zarif yapılar olduğu yazıyordu.

They exhibited some of the dead trees that burned in the Manavgat Region so that the fire incidents that took place in our country last year and caused great sadness in our people would not happen again. The Botanical Garden in Dokuma Park is a beautiful museum garden where dead trees, various plant species and cisterns of the nomads reflect their local culture.

Belediyenin bu hizmetlerinin yanında duyarlı bir olaya da imza etmişler. Ülkemizde geçen sene yaşanan ve insanlarımızda büyük üzüntü uyandıran yangın olaylarının bir daha gerçekleşmemesi için, Manavgat Bölgesinde yanan ölü ağaçların bir kısmını burada sergilemişler. Dokuma Parktaki Botanik bahçe, ölü ağaçların, çeşitli bitki türlerinin, yöresel kültürünü yansıtan yörüklerin sarnıçlarının sergilediği çok güzel bir müze bahçesidir.

In the last gesture of the municipality, they also highlighted the beekeeping, which reminds of the traditional lifestyles of the people living in the Elmalı district of Antalya province. The view of the Apple Black Hive, placed in the garden, on the carefully prepared green grass was worth seeing. They built an old stone house with one room in the shape of a box by stacking the old curved stone pieces on top of each other. They covered the roof of the stone house with long thick tree branches and covered it with oval wooden sticks. Finally, in the garden, warehouse houses reminiscent of wooden houses stand out in some parts of the people of Elmalı. They exhibited the Granary made of cedar trees in Elmalı, the homeland of cedar trees.

Belediyenin son jesti de Antalya ilinin Elmalı ilçesinde yaşayan halkın geleneksel yaşam biçimlerini anımsatan arıcılığı da öne çıkarmışlar. Bahçeye konulan Elmalı Kara Kovanının, özenle hazırlanmış yemyeşil çimenlerin üstündeki görüntüsü görülmeye değerdi. Yine eski kıvrımlı taş parçacıklarını üst üstte dizerek kutu şeklinde tek odalı eski taş bir ev yapmışlar. Taş evin çatısını da Uzun kalın ağaç dallarıyla kapatarak üstünü oval ahşap çubuklarla örtmüşler. Son olarak bahçede Elmalı halkının bazı kesimlerinde hala ayakta duran ve ahşap evleri anımsatan ambar evler göze çarpmaktadır, Sedir ağaçlarının anavatanı olan Elmalı'daki sedir ağaçlarından yapılan Tahıl Ambarını bahçede sergilemişler.
