While watching a theater play, I try to carefully follow the roles of the actors on stage. I put myself in their shoes and think about how I can do that scene. Sometimes I try to create a fiction in my mind by running some scenarios through my mind. Let me share with you an introductory scene from these fictions.

I thought of a scene. In the living room of the house, there is a patterned and colorful carpet reflecting the Ottoman culture in the middle, and wooden stairs going up in an oval shape from the middle of the living room. At the end of the stairs, there should be a long corridor and on the sides of the corridor, curtains covering the windows with tassels that our grandmothers used to sew with their own hands. Let's listen to what Gülşah said, whose voice was only heard from outside when the curtains were opened.
_ Musa, Musa, can you tell me, for God's sake, where the hell did you disappear to? There is so much work to be done today; Moses is not around.

Gülşah, who is walking left and right on stage, not knowing what to do, stops in between and starts talking.
_ Oh, that groom, how he deceived my rose-like daughter. He deceived us by introducing himself as a rich businessman and misled my daughter. We were the last to realize that he was a driver for the company he worked for.

Just then, his daughter Pelin enters through the closed red door at the entrance of the stage, carelessly, with her hair disheveled and wearing yellow pajamas. She sits on the old-looking sofa in the corner of the living room, spooning the fruit yoghurt she holds in her hand. Then they start talking together.
_Mom, my sister will come to us in the evening. Her boyfriend Ferit will be with her. As you know, my sister received a marriage proposal. Maybe they want to talk about the wedding date with us.

I applaud all the actors who bring a play to the audience flawlessly. After a short theater training, I worked as a theater actor for a while. During the training, we witnessed all kinds of details made to gain the appreciation of the audience. From the stage lighting, the music playing in the background, the decor on the stage and the clothes we wear, they all emerge as a result of a feverish effort.

We would create the play to be staged by our theater team, together with all our teammates. To determine the characters needed, we would look at the appearance and physical condition of our friends among us. For the role of a forester, we would prefer someone a little fat, short and bearded. When I memorize the theater script given to me, I think I'm taking an exam. I retreat to a quiet environment and start reading my text. Memorizing dialogues has always been easy for me. But it would be very difficult for me to have to talk when I was doing my job alone. Because dialogues are easy to remember. The sentence of each side reminds you to sentence the next one.

The last theater scene I went to was "Confrontation". It was a great theater play that I watched with pleasure. It was a game in which two quality players performed superiorly. Perhaps I had witnessed the magnificent show of two quality actors who showed us the possible lives that each of us encounters and cannot see in daily life.

Briefly, the plot of the game was as follows. It's about lonely people whose paths cross at the seaside station. On the one hand, Züleyha examines her past with her resentments and regrets about the past, and on the other hand, Yadigar, who tries to make sense of her life, whose only concern is money, with simple questions and does not lose hope. Although they are people of two different cultures, a communication gradually establishes between Yadigar and Züleyha, and after a while, both of them realize the great confrontations in their inner journeys. After watching this beautiful theater play, I realized once again that; Theater is an art of our life that opens the curtains of our hearts that are hidden in the depths of our hearts. See you again, take care of yourself.

Merhaba Sevgili Dostlar,

Bir tiyatro oyununu izlerken, sahnede yer alan oyuncuların rollerini dikkatlice takip etmeye çalışırım. Kendimi onların yerine koyarak, o sahneyi nasıl yapabilirim diye düşünürüm. Bazen de aklımdan bir takım senaryolar geçirerek, kendi kafamdan bir kurgu hazırlamaya çalışırım. Bu kurgulardan bir giriş sahnesini sizlerle paylaşayım.

Bir sahne düşündüm. Evin salonunda, ortada Osmanlı kültürünü yansıtan desenli ve renkli bir halı, salonun ortasından, oval bir şekilde yukarıya giden, ahşaptan merdivenler var. Merdivenlerin sonunda, uzun bir koridor ve koridorun yanlarında eskiden babaannelerimizin kendi elleriyle diktikleri ucu püsküllü camları örten perdeler olsun. Perdelerin açıldığı sırada dışardan sadece sesi duyulan Gülşah'ın söylediklerine kulak verelim.

Ne yapacağını bilemez bir şekilde sahnede sağa sola giden Gülşah arada durarak konuşmaya başlar.
_ Ah o damat yok mu o damat, benim gül gibi kızımı nasıl da kandırdı. Kendini zengin bir iş adamı diye tanıtarak bizleri kandırıp, kızımın gözünü boyadı. Çalıştığı kurumda şoför olduğunu en son biz anladık.

Tam o sırada kızı Pelin, sahnenin girişinde kapalı olan kırmızı renkli kapıdan içeri umursamaz, saçı başı dağınık ve sarı pijamasıyla içeri girer. Elinde tuttuğu meyveli yoğurdu kaşıklayarak, salonun köşesinde yer alan eski görünümlü kanepeye oturur. Sonra birlikte konuşmaya başlarlar.
_ Anne, akşama ablam bize gelecekmiş. Yanında erkek arkadaşı Ferit'te olacakmış. Ablam biliyorsun evlilik teklifi aldı. Belki bizimle düğün tarihini konuşmak isterler.

Bir oyunu kusursuz bir şekilde, seyirciyle buluşturan, tüm oyuncuları ayakta alkışlarım. Kısa bir tiyatro eğitiminden sonra bir dönem tiyatro oyunculuğu yaptım. Seyircinin beğenisini kazanmak için yapılan her türlü detaylara eğitim sırasında tanıklık ettik. Sahne ışığı, arka fonda çalınan müzik, sahnede yer alan dekor ve giydiğimiz kıyafetlere kadar, hepsi hummalı bir çalışmanın eserinde ortaya çıkıyor.

Sahnelenecek olan oyunu, tüm ekip arkadaşlarımızla birlikte bir araya gelerek, tiyatro ekibimiz tarafından oluştururduk. İhtiyaç duyulan karakterleri belirlemek için, aramızda bulunan arkadaşlarımızın dış görünüşe ve fiziksel durumuna bakardık. Bir ormancı rolü için biraz şişman, kısa boylu ve sakallı birini tercih ederdik. Ben bana verilen tiyatro metnini ezberlerken, bir sınavda olduğumu düşünürüm. Sessiz bir ortama çekilerek metnimi okumaya başlarım. Bana her zaman diyalogları ezberlemek kolay gelmiştir. Ama, tek başıma yaptığım işte , konuşuyor durumunda olmak beni çok zorlardı. Çünkü diyalogların hatırlanması kolaydır. Her iki tarafın cümlesi, bir sonrakini cümlenizi size hatırlatır.

En son gittiğim tiyatro sahnesi "Yüzleşme" olmuştur. Keyifle izlediğim harika bir tiyatro oyunuydu. Kaliteli iki oyuncunun üstün performans gösterdiği bir oyundu. Belki de her birimizin günlük hayatta karşılaştığı ve göremediği olası hayatları bizlere gösteren iki kaliteli oyuncunun muazzam gösterisine tanıklık etmiştim.

Oyunun kısaca konusu kısaca şöyleydi. Deniz kıyısındaki istasyonda yolları kesişen yalnız insanları konu alıyor. Bir yandan geçmişe dönük kırgınlıkları ve pişmanlıkları ile geçmişini irdeleyen Züleyha, diğer yandan tek derdi para olan yaşamı basit sorularıyla anlamlandırmaya çalışan ve umudunu yitirmeyen Yadigar. İki farklı kültürün insanları olmalarına rağmen, Yadigar ve Züleyha arasında giderek bir iletişim kurulur ve bir süre sonra her ikisi de yaşadıkları içsel yolculuklarındaki büyük yüzleşmelerinin farkına varırlar.
