Theater has been a branch of art in which all civilizations in the past were interested. We can see this from historical quotations made in ancient cities in our country and around the world. Since some of them were built with a solid structure, the building blocks remain until today. The picture you see below is the first state of Antalya Aspendos Antique Theater before it was renovated.

Tiyatro, geçmişteki bütün medeniyetlerin ilgilendiği bir sanat dalı olmuştur. Bunu ülkemizde ve dünyadaki antik kentlerde yapılmış tarihi alıntılardan görebiliyoruz. Bazıları sağlam bir yapı şekliyle yapıldığından günümüze kadar yapı taşları durmaktadır. Aşağıda görmüş olduğunuz resim Antalya Aspendos Antik Tiyatrosu' tadilata girmeden önceki ilk halidir.

Antalya Aspendos Antique Theater also has an interesting construction story. According to the legend; The king of Aspendos had a beautiful daughter. He couldn't find someone to marry his daughter to. The king thought about it and decided to make a public announcement. He addressed the people as follows: "Whoever does the most beneficial and beautiful thing for our people and our city, I will give my daughter to him." On top of that, two works come to the fore. Two twin brothers put forward these two works. One of the works is the aqueduct, which was built as a result of a clever geometric calculation, far from the city; The other work is the world's leading acoustic theater, where a coin is thrown to the ground in its orchestra, and the sound is heard even from the top. After touring the aqueduct, the king wants to give his daughter to the architecture that built the aqueduct. But when he enters the theater, he hears a sound while walking around the upper part of the theater. Zeno hums a song. Admiring this acoustic, the king gave his daughter to the architect Zenon.

Antalya Aspendos Antik Tiyatronun ilginç bir yapılış öyküsü de var. Rivayete göre; Aspendos kralının dünyalar güzeli bir kızı varmış. Bir türlü kızını evlendirebileceği birini bulamamış. Kral düşünmüş ve halka duyuru yapmaya karar vermiş. Halka şöyle seslenmiş: "Kim halkımız ve şehrimiz adına en yararlı ve en güzel şeyi yaparsa , kızımı ona vereceğim." Bunun üzerine iki yapıt en plana çıkar. Bu iki yapıtı da iki ikiz kardeş öne sürer. Eserlerden biri şehrin çok uzağında akıllıca bir geometrik hesaplamanın sonucu inşa edilen su kemeri; diğer eser ise, orkestrasında yere metal para atıldığın da üst tarafından dahi o sesin duyulduğu , dünyanın önde gelen en iyi akustik tiyatrosudur. Kral su kemerini dolaştıktan sonra kızını su kemerini yapan mimariye vermek ister. Fakat tiyatroya girdiğinde tiyatronun yukarı tarafın da gezerken bir ses duyar. Zenon bir şarkı mırıldanır. Bu akustiğe hayran kalan kral kızını mimar Zenon'a verir.

My love for theater started when my Turkish teacher invited me to play while I was in secondary school. Our Turkish teacher loved to go to the plays that are staged every week at the Bartın State Theatre. He was a total theater buff. One day, he asked us to act out the play he watched while teaching us in the classroom. The name of the game: "The Alchemist" The game is inspired by the novel by Paulo Coelho. This game was one of the most popular games at that time. Our Turkish teacher determined our classmates according to the characters. He created a small stage from desks, tables and books. We tried to play this game by having fun in class.

Benim Tiyatro sevdam, ortaokulda okurken Türkçe öğretmenimin beni tiyatro oyununa davet etmesiyle başladı. Türkçe öğretmenimiz Bartın Devlet Tiyatrosunda her hafta sahnelenen oyunlara gitmeyi çok severdi. Kendisi tam bir tiyatro tutkunuydu. Bir gün bize ders anlatırken izlediği oyunu sınıfta canlandırmamızı istedi. Oyunun adı: "Simyacı" Oyun Paulo Coelho romanından esinlenerek yaratılmıştır. Bu oyun o dönemlerde en popüler oyunlarından biriydi. Sınıftaki arkadaşlarımızı Türkçe öğretmenimiz karakterlere göre belirledi. Sıralardan masalardan ve kitaplardan küçük bir sahne oluşturdu. Sınıfta güle oynaya eğlenerek bu oyunu oynamaya çalışmıştık.
