My 3Speaking Today
Hey, what's up, players! From here as always I send you my most cordial greeting, and as is customary I also welcome you once again to my 3Speak channel for a new retrogaming session, and more specifically for our beloved Warioland II for the Game Boy Color. Players, I want to tell you that we continue advancing at full speed through the urban area known in this chapter simply as 'The Town'. To be more specific, this time we will have to descend through the interior of the great building from the previous story, but this will turn out to be quite complicated as you can corroborate in today's gameplay. The path, in addition to being packed with a large number of enemies, will also require us to be very attentive to how to manage to descend from the fifth floor down to floor number 1 of the building, which is where the exit is located in order to continue advancing in this level. This is due to the fact that the path towards the first floor is not entirely clear at times, in addition to the fact that we will have to solve a sort of mini puzzles in order to descend. The Fat Wario mode and his great weight will be extremely useful in this level in order to activate certain elevators that will help us descend between floors.
Fat Wario Rules. Yes players, just as I say here, this very heavy Wario mode will be of enormous vitality throughout the course of this level. Just as you can observe starting from minute 00:45 of the gameplay, it is thanks to Fat Wario's heavy jump ability that we will be able to break some dark granite blocks found in many sections of this level that turn out to be unbreakable for Wario's normal form. Therefore: we will have to be very careful not to eliminate all the Cooks we see along the way, because if we eliminate them we lose the opportunity to transform into Fat Wario, and this will cause us to constantly have to backtrack along the path so that the Cooks can respawn. This occurs because there are certain elevators that we will have to make descend thanks to Fat Wario's great weight.
Ambition Has Its Price. And I say this because as you will be able to see at around minute 01:35, we have the opportunity to enter a sub section of the level, more specifically on floor number 6 where we can collect a good number of coins for the loot with the help of our ally the Owl. However, the downside of entering this upper level is that it truly delays us quite a bit on our descending path to floor number 1, especially if we take into account that overcoming the flying Kotsuheris is by no means simple without failing at least a few times, ha ha!
Bouncy Wario and the Inamazu. And what did you think, that new enemies would stop appearing? Well that is not the case, as you can see at minute 04:39 of the gameplay where some new enemies appear known as the Inamazu, which consist of a sort of walking pirate catfish that produce electricity in their antennae and throw a sort of electric balls at us the moment they spot us, which if they touch us will cause us to lose a large amount of coins. On another note, we also come across the Pogo Guys, who are a sort of hammer-wielding apes that try to smash Wario and will cause him to transform into one of his most curious forms as we can see at minute 08:30, which is the form known as Bouncy Wario, giving us the opportunity to become a sort of spring and make enormous jumps : )
And with this I bring this retrogaming post to an end, but before saying goodbye friends, allow me to thank you as always for all the support you usually show to this 3Speak channel. It truly means a great deal to me. Cheers 🔶✨
