Travel To Nayabad Mosque : Wonderful Mosque In Dinajpur, Bangladesh
Hope you all are well. I am also, Alhamdulillah. Today I will share a travel post with you. Many of you must have heard the name Nayabad Mosque. Today I will write about this Nayabad mosque. let's start
Nayabad Mosque is located in Dinajpur district in Bangladesh. This mosque is named after the village. That is, this mosque is located in Nayabad village of Kaharol upazila of Dinajpur district. It is located about 20 km from Dinajpur city. The pinmapple location of this mosque is [//]:# (!pinmapple 25.78186 lat 88.65874 long d3scr). Dhepa river flows by this mosque.
I have visited this mosque several times. This mosque was built in 1793. The then king recruited people from other states to build a temple in Dinajpur. Some of them were Muslims. So they built a mosque for themselves a little away from the Kantjeo temple and started worshiping themselves. Muslim workers started living near this mosque. And thus this mosque has been functioning ever since and now everyone around the mosque offers their prayers in this mosque.
The mosque was built on 1.5 bigha of land. The mosque is not very big. It is a mosque with three domes. There are three main gates to enter the mosque. There are also three similar designs on three domes of the mosque. I don't know what they are called. It has two minarets flanked by two pillars and the entire mosque is decorated with designs on the outer walls.
There are two windows on each side of the north and south walls of the mosque. I did not go inside so it is not possible for me to describe the interior. This mosque is now painted white, which was not the case earlier. There is a grave on the left hand side of the entrance gate of the mosque. It is not written anywhere whose grave it is, but it is assumed that it may be the workplace of the construction workers of this mosque.
As there are more tourists, new architecture has been added here for the convenience of tourists. One of these is the tourist canopies and small benches for sitting around the mosque. Apart from this, the system of lighting has also been kept for night.
Finally I would like to say, if you ever come to Dinajpur, you must visit this mosque. You can come to Dinajpur city by any means from Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, by bus, train, plane and from Dinajpur city you can go to this mosque by motorcycle, private car or autorickshaw.
