Why PEAQ? – Ladies of Hive #65
Prior to joining Hive, my birth name and nick name are two things that have always caused people to probe further. The uniqueness and meaning to both names usually spur a conversation after I introduce myself to a person for the first time.
At the verge of joining Hive, I had to brainstorm on a befitting yet insightful username and this led to the birth of Peaq. The birth of my Hive username is something I have been asked a couple of times and I have given a brief response to it. However, this week’s contest has presented a great opportunity to shed a deeper light to the origin of my username and I am more than happy to share this with you all.
In this video, I will be responding to the second question option in this week’s ladiesofhive contest provided by the lovely @saffisara. I will be giving a more comprehensive answer as to how my username was derived and what it truly means. So without further ado let’s dive right into the video.

He aquí un resumen de mi respuesta.
PeaQ fue acuñado a partir de las tres primeras letras de mi nombre de nacimiento, Pearl, y la primera letra de mi apodo, Quasar.
PeaQ suena como Peak. Peak se refiere simplemente a alcanzar el punto o nivel más alto o máximo en un valor o momento determinado.
Mi nombre de nacimiento, Perla, significa una piedra preciosa o una persona de gran valor o rareza.
Mi apodo, Quasar, significa un objeto celeste masivo extremadamente remoto, especialmente uno muy luminoso parecido a una estrella, que emite cantidades de energía excepcionalmente grandes.
Mi intención al acuñar PeaQ era recordarme constantemente cuáles son mis objetivos y dónde quiero estar en Hive. Esto me sirve de empuje subconsciente y de fuente de ánimo y motivación cada vez que veo el nombre.
