Good day members of Med-hive community, I feel elated to be amongst you guys. This appears to be my first post in this community and as required, it's gonna talk strictly on how to take care of vision and sight
The eye is one of the most important organ in our body, it is the light of the whole body and should be treated as one. Our actions determines how negative or positive our vision and sight will always appear.
Here are some simple steps I take to save my vision and sight
- I wash my eyes with cold water each morning I wake
- I avoid going close to irritating substances such as balm, mint etc
- I avoid reading with too dim lights or candle
I've been trying really hard to have enough sleep to avoid eye bags(dark circles under the eyes) - I avoid fights or rough play that could lead to eye injury
- I've noticed that when I walk under the sun and rest later in a shady place, my vision becomes blurry, hence I now make use of sunshades when it's sunny.

Actually, I've still got a lot of work to do, there are areas I really need to improve such as
Limiting my screentime: since my electronic device has become part of me, I use it almost all the time and the screen light kinda brings me discomfort no matter how I reduce the light, I would really work on limiting my screentime.
Keeping my gadgets a bit distant from my eyes: this is also another area I would want to work on, I'm always carried away and deeply engrossed when watching TV or using my device to the extent that I barely notice how close or far the distance is between my eyes and the gadget, I really wanna improve on that as well.
I would really encourage everyone to take good care of their eyes by
- Consuming healthy diets
- Proper intake of nutrients such as zinc, lutein, vitamin C,E and K etc
- Use of sunglasses
- Know and maintain your blood sugar level
- Find out your family history because they're cases of vision problems which are hereditary.
Good vision enhances a quality life, aids in athletic improvement, equipped learning and development and a fun-filled life. Grab the opportunity while it lasts besides prevention is better than cure. Take bold steps now to securing a better vision and sight.
Woaooah, you have done well dear. Am happy you have taken part in this contest. Eating healthy food keeps our sight health

Good vision definetly does enhance the quality of life because without sight the body is dark

I think we are all struggling with too much screen time this days. Thank you for teaching us how to care for our eyes.
