Being a melanin model

My name is Mira, and this is my story.
As a child, I have always wanted to be a model because I have seen all those ladies on television and the way they walk, dress, and all of that, and I have always been interested. Since I am the only daughter of my mom and my dad is late, mom has been my only support. I was in my room when mom called me to come out. What could she be calling me for now?
Mom: Mira, please come out for a while
Mira: Mom, I am coming. here i am
Mom: so mira an offer came up they need a model for a commercial shoot in my company, and they asked me if i have anyone that can do it so i told them that you could do it
Mira: wow mom that is great news am so happy, but you know i haven't done it before
Mom: well this is your chance to get what you have always dreamed for
Mira: mom are you sure about this, am really scared
Mom: "I believe in you, and I know you can do it. so you will be following me to the company tomorrow, it might not be what you want, but this is a stepping stone for you
Mira: "Okay, mom, I will try, and I hope it goes well. i will be in my room mom

Wow, I am so happy right now; my mom is really God's gift to me. I started preparing for the next day's outing. Looking for what to wear wasn't really hard because I am a fashionista, so I know the right outfit for different occasions.
We left home in the morning that day, and when we got to Mom's company, we went straight to the modeling department. Mom introduced me to the people there, and I was asked a few questions, which I answered in the best way that I could, so I was told to go to the dressing room so they could start dressing me up because the shoot will be starting soon. The shoot started soon enough and ended very well. The director was very happy that it went well and commended me for going places that I was fit for.
My mom and I went home together because I waited for her to be done. When we got home there was so much joy, mom was really proud of me, she was justing about saying something when my phone ringged, so i picked up
caller: hello, please am i speaking with miss Mira
Mira: yeah, that's me, who am i on to please
Caller: i'm calling from Gingin modelling company, we saw what you did for the Landmark company and we loved it, so we want to make you our official model
Mira: oh really is that so (trying to hid the excitement)
Caller: Yes, Miss Mira, you have a lovely and beautiful skin color. That's what attracted us the most, so if you don't mind. we would like you to come to our company so we could talk better
Mira: okay can you send your company address and i will be there
Caller: okay i will do that now, have a great day ma'am
(call ends)

Immediatly the call ended, mom and I screamed out for joy, because she heard all the conversation I had, and we both began to shed tears of joy. My dreams are finally becoming a reality. Just then my phone buzzed; it was a message from the company sending the address, and when to come to the company, we screamed out again.

Mom and I went to do a little shopping for me so I would look good when I went to the company. I got to the company the day I was told to come, and everything happened quickly. It wasn't really hard because my mom was there with me, so she did most of the talking like she was my manager, and we signed the contract. and ever since that day, I have been in and out of the country fulfilling my dream, which I was able to accomplish because I had a good mentor, which was my mom.
