This is me sharing my past school experiences with beloved content creators in the hive learner's community and others.

One thing that was good about being a student

The school then was a thing of joy and happiness in learning, teachers, and having friends. It was the thing that couldn't be overemphasized. Then in school, I was extremely introverted, I didn't keep friends much nor have a circle of friends around, but I had friends who influenced me positively when it came to learning. Even though I wasn't outspoken then, I was all out to read, understand, and pass my exams. Then, we had a debate competition that helped some of my classmates to be outspoken everywhere. The competition came and they grabbed the opportunity and won. Unfortunately, my eyes were not open at that time, and if the opportunity was given to me to go back to my school days, I would make a lot of impacts and changes. I would occupy one slot or more in the school leadership.

Nonetheless, students were given the exposure to learn about leadership, and most of them are doing well at home and in other organizations. Some of them are married leading their families well.

Furthermore, skills were Incorporated, and a lot of practical was conducted for the students to know how it is being done. It was an exciting moment at that time. My home economics teacher did a great job teaching us how to sew our torn dresses and making a simple dress with our hands using thread, needles, and other sewing materials to knit our dresses. I can't forget the day she mistook me for a boy😂. Whenever she came to the class she would come around to check how my dress was being knit. And I used to laugh over it when my mind got back to that time.

Nevertheless, another beautiful thing back then was, that I met some of my classmates who were at the nursery school in my secondary school, and the funny thing we were in the same class and the same session. We sat together gisting and playing a whole lot. It was encouraging and enthusiastic.

What students enjoy inculcating currently that irritates and annoys me is incorporating the bad company that leads to destruction. Many students in secondary school have joined a company that mustn't have been and that leaves them the way they are today. In my days, it was light but now it is heavy. In my days, I had four boys in my class, who joined a cult and it was bloody.

Unfortunately, we had a store where students used to relax and have fun. They used that room to conduct their rituals and splashing of bottles. It was scary and offensive at that time. All my classmates were living in fear. Some of them lure some of their girlfriends to their path.

Strange things happened during our time. And it is very alarming from secondary to tertiary institutions. It ranges. Now they are carrying guns, and are doing all sorts of bloody things.

Schools were built or structured to impact knowledge in lives and give a good foundation to students.

What should be done to put this thing away

• Right knowledge

Instituting the right knowledge to the students could potentially eradicate the phenomenon of cults in the education system. It's rampant and things need to be done with immediate effect.

Overall, this is my feeling of nostalgia for my school days.
