Hello friends in homeedders, how is everything moving, I hope all is well. Happynewyear once again.

Today let us discuss how as a parent, give your children toys to help them learn how to relate with people and things in the world.

As we know, toys are objects for Children to play with, and are typically models or miniature replica of something. Example, a toy car, a toy poodle.

Toys usage varies from culture and depends to a great extent, on a parent's knowledge, education, and economic level. In the typical African city coloured stones stick and cans were use as toys
I remember some times ago when my male siblings had to use empty milk tins and sticks to build cars.

Baby dolls were carved from wood and even clay. I remember vividly when we use to play family roles- father, mothers, child, relatives- We would use moist sand to build houses, cook with empty tins using non-edible leaves, and even use Cain as we see out parents do. It was all fun growing and learning with those toys. The world has developed today, and there are more sophisticated toys for our children which are still useful for them to learn roles.

Indeed, children are attracted to toys like moths are to flame. Toys are used by children to entertain themselves while simultaneously acquainting with the world around them. With toy usage, children learn to express their thoughts, ideas, basically play major roles. Toys can help Children to be focused, especially when parents need time and space to handle sensitive things or rest.

I could recalled the day I went to my aunt's place. As I entered the parlour I saw blocks littered everywhere on the floor. Not quite long my aunt's daughter called me to come and see how she will build a house using blocks. It didn't take up to 10mins she constructed a house, it was so beautiful. The creativity she exhibited at that age was mind blowing. In our time, we never has rubber blocks to build with. It was sand.

Importance of Toys in Home Schooling

  1. It mines creative thinking in your children. Using toys to play would help to expand the child's brain and cause him to think critically. Creativity helps the child to think inward and outwardly.
  1. Using toys can help your children to mature emotionally. Toys provide the atmosphere of connection among Children who play together with it. Children can learn to create happiness, be focus and learn to love each other.

  2. Toys would teach your child how to explore life in different ways. As miniature objects, toys gives Children another floor to explore more technology, arts and science.

Demerits of toys in Home Schooling

  1. It may create fear in the kids life especially when the toy is scary, like in the case of poodles. In this case, they may have nightmare and scream while asleep.
  2. Some Children may be addicted to toy usage till they grow up being playful than being serious with life.

In conclusion toys are crucial in homeschooling, as it's a powerful way to bring our creativity in children. When properly managed, the usefulness of toys would outweigh it demerits and your homeschool would never be a boring place.

The idea that children learn through play is central to the Montessori Method. The Montessori Method presents students with a variety of games that work through on their time. It is worth investigating.

Toys certainly serve to develop children's creativity, for them anything can serve as a toy and let their imagination run wild. We do not need very elaborate and luxurious toys, even in many occasions the simplest ones are the most appreciated because they transform them. Thanks for your post.
