Inexplicable experiences in the past!

Happy New Year.

This is my New Year blog in this community. I am happy to be here. There's a saying that goes, "Swallow a star apple seed, and a tree will grow in your stomach."

It's very rampant in Africa. This act is meant to discourage children from swallowing start apple seeds. This is what happened to me when I was younger.

My grandpa planted a star apple tree close to our family compound. Each year, when its season and fruit comes. The star apple fruit would follow a gradual process until it ripens. It will start with a green color on the outer layer and white pulpy juice extracted from the mouth as our ritual of eating star apples.

When I was a child my mum used to warn me and my siblings to stop swallowing star apple seeds. My dear, as it is sweeting me, that is how I am swallowing them. Besides, I was scared when I was a child but now I have grown over that stage. I know what is good for me and what is not good.

Nevertheless, growing up I realized that it was a lie, that they were tricking us.

All this while, I have been practicing empirical evidence, and nothing has happened to me. I have not seen a tree growing in my stomach and others. It is hilarious and childish, sha.

Countless times, children have swallowed, even adults, but we are still alive and healthy.

Another scenario is when a pregnant woman carries the pregnancy, she can't see the masquerade if she does, she will deliver a masquerade too. Or if you fight with a masquerade, you would likely give birth to a masquerade. All these sayings were not true.

It was a way of discouraging us to stay away from this practice.
