Newyear Market Friday!
Hello good evening everyone.
Happy new year lovely family.
I hope you enjoyed your new year well. If no, I @peckypeace enjoy it to the fullest.
I want to share with you what I bought in preparation of the 1st that just passed at #MarketFriday hosted by @dwsigle
I didn't go anywhere on that day called festive day. I was indoor cooking different types of food.
Before the the festive day I went to the market to get some food stuff Against 1st-new year.
I purchased tomatoes for sauce.
This market is my usual market that I do go. It is sited at Calabar ltu road called ltam market. I so much like this market because you can get what you at a cheaper rate. Goods are avoidable and quantity of goods so nice.
It is an every day market, a lot of business men and women trooping in and out.
This is another thing I bought,
Pepper and Onions.
I bought another thing, meat.
Another thing that I bought,
Tin tomatoes no other tomatoes than CLAPPA tomatoes PASTE I so much this tomatoes.
After buying the tomatoes, I moved down to cosmetic shop to get lip gloss for my lips because of the amattan that was blowing. Passing by, I saw this turmeric seed that got me attracted and I decided to capture it. I lust for this because it can give what I want if I want to cook fried rice.
This is the natural turmeric.
And so there is this thing called green pee and carrots. It is used in fried rice.
Okay, returning from market I started preparing my sauce. It was a yummy.
This was the outcome of it.
Please come and taste.
Sauce is ready.
Thank you for reading my blog. God bless you.
I. @peckypeace.
That looks delicious! Your sauce looks like it is cooked slow, making everything tender. Yummy. That was chicken in there, right? I don't know why I thought you used meat, but, it doesn't matter, I love both! :) Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday! I cannot tell you how pleased I am to see so many participating every week. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for it. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the New Year finds you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers markets and eventually branching out and evolving over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
