QOTW Season 9.1. What Does Spirituality Mean To Me?
Greetings everyone.
I am so glad to participate on this very contest. Thank you @ecotrain for this topic. It's really gives me joy to write this very topic. Thank you.
Some people think that Spirituality is all about; fasting and prayers, observing your morning devote and attending weekly activities at church. It is beyond that.
Spirituality is far beyond religion.
In my own perspective, What Spirituality mean to me is discovering my purpose in life,
Knowing who am I. What was the main reason to be born on planet earth.
I think, first is;
- knowing God:
It is God who will give me inner strength and recovery of my purpose.
What do God say I should do, to be a channel of blessing to others in life situation and otherwise. Helping people through the word of my wisdom, finances, teaching people what they do not know.
It is through Jesus that we can exibit good character to people. Like,
- Love
Love is a Spirituality.
I think love is a higher sense of Spirituality. It was through love that Jesus came and died on cross even when we did know him. He became a sinful human, so that we will have access with the father. He received bittings, he was spat, bruise because of you and me. What does this mean. We should love people as Christ loved us unconditionally.
Love when people despise you.
Love when people do wrong to you.
Love your friend when you realised that she or he is thinking evil against you but be careful.
Love brings forgiveness. If you can't love, you can't forgive.
- Mercy:
Have mercy on people when they wrong you without waiting for them to come and apologize to you 'I am sorry'. We pray everyday for God's Mercy. So we should have mercy on people.
Peace:
Let us stay peacefully with all men no matter. Just let it go in other for peace to reign.Happiness:
Choose to happy all the days of your life.Giving:
Give what you have to people no matter the quantity. Give with joy and love in your heart.Having positive relationships.
Be into relationship that will produce good result. Be in relationship that will change your life. Be in relationship with people whom would help you discover who you are.
Spirituality is having this belief that there is a being that is greater than my self, who is GOD. It is through God that you will be able to exhibit the above characteristics that I mentioned. There are so many, contentment, grateful, joy, patience, hope, long-suffering, humility, gratitude,faith, freedom to do the right thing and self control. These are the things that help me have experience in life.
This what spirituality mean to me.
And there is another means of Spirituality to some people.
Like have sexual relationship, which they seem it their way of life or lifestyle.
Anger, hatred, fear,jealousy, worshipping idols, cult, dirty politics. These are spirituality to some persons. What they understood by: what Spirituality means to them.
To sum it up here, Spirituality (God) gives me strength, hope of the future to know what is right at the appropriate time.
