Today I have been calm at home, it has been a pleasant Saturday. I don't have much to say, that doesn't bother me. The only thing that stands out would be that my brother has updated his computer and I just inherited parts, which means that tomorrow I'm going to disassemble my computer and add parts to it. It reminds me of what I once heard about the brand new "New Used Clothes", I always thought that things that are reused and recycled are a good thing. Personally I have no problems with that, during my life I used many things like that, it is what we call "Chiva" (the female of the ruminant Goat), I have never been able to find out where the use of that word or its meaning comes from, but it's because I haven't seriously looked for it. I checked the #History for today and saw that there is an anniversary that makes me nostalgic:

Today, in 1980, the Namco company launches the video game Pac-Man. The success of #PacMan was explosive, I think it was one of the biggest successes of #Namco and catapulted it, at that time when Arcade video games were booming, without a doubt this game marked the decade. In fact, it became such a marked reference that when in the #PIXEL #movie one of the engineers involved in its creation was one of the characters and that big yellow ball was shown as an antagonist, it was simply too good. Also, what a crazy thing it would be for a #Retrogamer to have to face characters from a classic #Videogame :)

Yes Pac-Man was a real classic, and very fun to play, it's crazy to think it has been so long since it was created.

One really is surprised when you notice how much time has passed. By the way, my brother told me that he had seen that they had also converted it into an App for mobile phones and that there were people playing it today, so it can really be considered a classic, it has managed to survive the passage of time without being forgotten .

To remember is to live, is what one of my old uncles used to say. In the case of a gamer, remember is to reinstall old games or run them on emulators to enjoy those moments again :)

Hey friend, am glad your brother was. Able to update his system. It gives joy to have an updated PC really. Doing jobs with it will be seamless. Again, thanks for reminding us about the game Pac-Man. I know I once played the mobile version anyway, alongside Colin McRae car racing too !LOLZ

I love reading your posts, thanks for being part of this community that I hope continues to grow, since I discovered it I feel part of the family, interesting your article on this excellent game, reminds me that when I was about 15 years old I bought an Atari 2600 console and fuel the first game I played, then my dad with about 50 years above became so fanatical that almost I could not play on my console, you brought me great memories of my childhood, thanks, I still have that console as a souvenir.

Pacman was my favorite arcade game when I was little, although it was Mrs. Pacman at the arcade I went to. It didn't bother me, that pacman had a red bow, it was faster and smoother than the original Pacman game!

I didn't remember the version of Mrs. PacMan :) I searched a bit and found an online version at https://www.free-pacman.com/html5-pacman-play.html and played a bit, it was fun but I lack speed and they really kill me too fast LOL

I must admit that I don't like wasting materials or parts, I guess a bit of my old-style upbringing has something to do with it, always trying to repair or reuse what I can, partly to cut costs, partly because tech waste disposal can be a hassle and partly because they are stubborn and once I get used to a machine I prefer not to change it unless it is unavoidable. In fact, I am the type of person who uses a cell phone for years and years and years... until there really is no other choice but to change it because it can no longer be repaired or because the applications no longer want to run on such an old cell phone. :)

It's so great to see you alive, you were lucky to get some of your brother computer parts, recycling is a great act and it's in one way keep of environment free from wastes aside the importance it plays in the reused process.

I could remember the game PAC man, I played it back then

Thanks for comment. This reuse of parts is something we usually do, it also helps to lower costs :)

With the #PacMan #game, I have to admit I was amazed to see that it's still being played today and it turns out to be quite entertaining, I saw a free version online and played it to relive my memory, but I found I'm still pretty clumsy, and they kill me very quickly LOL, anyway, I admit that despite that, I enjoyed playing a #videogame from my youth for a while.

With your comment you have reminded me, my brother has always been better than me in videogames :) nowadays he still plays several #videogames and sometimes I stare, it's something funny in itself, I guess it's like fans of a sport when they watch a #game :)

Hello dearest hiver @pedrobrito2004, Firstly I want to be glad to see you alive with god's kindness. I'm honestly saying that, I don't like to play video or online games because I haven't more knowledge about it as well as I can't spend my valuable time for it. But currently many citizens playing game using internet. I already heard about the name PC-Man. I think it's really good game. Someone very prefer to play games like as their hobby. Thanks for your update. Have a great day.

It is true that there are hobbies for everyone, I have certain problems with my body reflexes and failures in what they call "fine movement control", as a child I was a disaster and in sports I was not able to hit the ball, besides I have a physical constitution that tends to consume itself and that is why I have always been skinny, but very weak and prone to passing out with chest pain when I run or try to do intense exercise.

In short, my particular conditions made it more possible for me as a child to play video games than to go running with friends. Now day I am not a gamer, but I fondly remember those electronic toys that take me back to the memories of my youth and childhood.

Thanks for comment.

In this particular case, recycling the pieces meets three conditions, in my native language we call them the three B's: Good, Nice and Cheap (in Spanish: Bueno, Bonito & Barato)

So it turned out to be the best option for everyone to win something :)

Yes, they are good memories.

They make me think of fragments of a Latin American poet that I think were something like: Youth, divine treasure, you fly away never to return.

It made me nostalgic to see the date and to think that a game from my youth is now considered a Retro thing.
