It's Friday, I have to go out to buy groceries for the week, but really my spirits are low, and I don't even want to leave the house, but I have to buy... it really is something that if I see it from the outside it's stupid, but it usually happens, that one thing is what we should do, and another thing is what we feel like doing. Anyway, I have to complete the registration and definitely go shopping, so I don't run out of food at home.
Today is day 924 since that Friday of 2020 when #Quarantine was declared in #Venezuela due to the #COVID-19 #Pandemic. Although it is very true that we do not take security measures very seriously here, and the official status of this quarantine is already somewhat questionable.
Reviewing the ephemeris of #History to decide on a topic for today's post, I came across:
On September 23, 1939, Sigmund Freud died in London (United Kingdom). This Austrian neurologist is the father of psychoanalysis. His contributions in the exploration of the human psyche were very relevant and largely defined the vision of the popular masses in this regard. There was from the beginning the problem of asking if his #psychoanalysis was a scientific discipline or not, after all #Science (as it is currently defined) is not something that seems to fit in the study of the mind from psychoanalysis, it is something that is more similar to philosophical reflection, mystical introspection or a certain form of hermeneutics of the Ego. In short, it is something that opened new possibilities to approach the human mind and explore it, but without its results being rigorously scientific, they would rather fall in the area of humanistic disciplines.
It's worth adding a touch of humor to this obituary, I guess #Freud would have found it interesting for his analysis, is that I remembered a Bill Murray comedy scene in the movie "What About Bob?", in which he was telling jokes to the staff of a psychiatric clinic where his antagonist had tried to lock him up:

Es viernes, debo salir a comprar víveres para la semana, pero de verdad que mi ánimo anda bajo y no tengo ni ganas de salir de casa, pero hay que comprar... de verdad que es algo que si lo veo desde afuera es estúpido, pero suele pasar, que una cosa es lo que debemos hacer y otra cosa es lo que sentimos ganas de hacer. Al revisar las efemérides de la #Historia para decidir un tema para la publicación de hoy, me encontré con:
El 23 de septiembre de 1939, Sigmund Freud fallece en Londres (Reino Unido). Este médico neurólogo austríaco es el padre del psicoanálisis. Sus aportes en la exploración de la psique humana fueron muy relevantes y definieron en buena medida la visión de las masas populares al respecto. Existió desde su inicio el problema de plantear si su #psicoanalisis era una disciplina científica o no, a fin de cuentas la #Ciencia (de la manera en que se define en la actualidad) no es algo que parece encajar en el estudio de la mente a partir del psicoanálisis, es algo que se asemeja más a la reflexión filosófica, a la introspección mística o a cierta forma de hermenéutica del Ego. En fin, que es algo que abrió nuevas posibilidades para abordar la mente humana y explorarla, pero sin que sus resultados sean rigurosamente científicos, más bien caerían en el área de las disciplinas humanísticas.
Valga la pena agregar un toque de humor a este obituario, supongo que #Freud lo habría encontrado interesante para su análisis, es que me acordé de una escena de comedia de Bill Murray en la película "What About Bob?", en la que él estaba contando chistes al personal de una clínica psiquiátrica en la que su antagonista había tratado de encerrarlo:

In the joke he said something like: A man is in an evaluation and the therapist shows him a spot "What do you see here?", "Sex", he shows him others and the answer is always sex, the doctor tells him "It seems that you have a very strong sexual fixation" to which the man replies "It's not my fault Doc, you have been showing me pure pornographic photographs".
It sounds very funny, but it seems to be taken from one of Freud's work sessions, the patient seems not to notice his madness and blames others when he points out that something is wrong in his mind, it is the old problem of projection.
Well, I guess my past therapists would have found it interesting to see me include a joke in an obituary, but I guess it worked for the case. I wish you well and that we can read each other again soon.

En el chiste decía algo como: Un hombre está en una evaluación y el terapista le muestra una mancha "¿Qué ve aquí?", "Sexo", le muestra otras y la respuesta siempre es sexo, el médico le dice "Parece que tiene usted una fijación sexual muy fuerte" a lo que el hombre le responde "No es mi culpa Doc, usted me ha estado mostrando puras fotografías pornográficas".
Suena muy gracioso, pero pareciera sacado de una de las sesiones de trabajo de Freud, el paciente parece no notar su locura y culpa a otros cuando señala que algo está mal en su mente, es el viejo problema de la proyección.
Bueno, supongo que a mis últimos terapistas les habría parecido interesante ver que incluí un chiste en una nota necrológica, pero supongo que para el caso ha quedado bien. Te deseo que tú estés bien y que nos podamos volver a leer pronto.
