Thursday, the day I was supposed to go shopping for weekly groceries, but I stayed on the computer until dawn and ended up sleeping all morning, that's not entirely good, but it's not entirely bad either, I needed to sleep, and it will be tomorrow let's go shopping.
My climate is very cool, somewhat rainy, it is a climate that is common in #Venezuela at this time of year, I live relatively close to the capital and there is a comment in that city for this cool climate (it can even be considered 'cold' in this tropical country) that is common around Christmas, it is said "Pacheco arrived", in reference to the arrival of the cold at the end of the year, by local historical reference of a character named Pacheco who lived in Cerro El Avila, part of the Cordillera de la Costa that is north of #Caracas and an obligatory Mount reference of the capital city as such, he lived in the town of Galipan and grew flowers, in the cold season he would come down from the mountain bringing his flowers on a donkey to sale, so their arrival in the city was associated with the arrival of the Christmas cold and remained as part of the city's history.

Jueves, día que se supone saldría de compras de víveres semanales, pero me quedé hasta la madrugada en la computadora y terminé dormido toda la mañana, eso no es del todo bueno, pero tampoco es del todo malo, necesitaba dormir, y ya será mañana que salgamos a comprar.

In this record of the day, I must point out that my computer has behaved very well today, it has not given me any more scares and I prefer to let it continue working. We have an old rule at home that 'if it's working, don't screw it up', so if I don't see any signs of a failure coming or it doesn't freeze at all, then I'm not going to mess with the computer and we'll keep working.
En este registro del día, debo señalar que mi computadora se ha portado muy bien hoy, no me ha dado mas sustos y prefiero dejarla que siga trabajando. Tenemos en casa la vieja regla de que ‘si está trabajando, no lo arruines’, así que si no veo síntomas de un fallo en camino o no se congela para nada, entonces no voy a meter mano en la computadora y seguiremos trabajando.

Debido a su porcentaje, el cancel de pulmón es de mayor mortalidad, gracias a que en décadas recientes se ha mejorado los procedimientos de diagnóstico temprano y los tratamientos se han mejorado paulatinamente, la esperanza de recuperación han ido aumentando, pero se tienen casos de pacientes cuyo cáncer muestra una alta resistencia contra los tratamientos de quimioterapia y son muy difíciles de tratar.

Justamente en este punto es que entra un asunto de actualidad, en investigación científica del campo de la #medicina, vi en las noticias que un grupo de investigación, en el que participan médicos investigadores españoles de Cima, Universidad de Navarra, publicaron un trabajo de investigación en la revista científica Journal of Experimental Medicine, en donde se da a conocer que la proteína denominada DSTYK estaba asociada al desarrollo tumoral en este tipo de cáncer y que sería un marcado importante para identificar a los pacientes que no responderían al tratamiento de quimioterapia común, con lo que se posibilita desarrollar un tratamiento particular, además de que abre puertas para investigación de fármacos y ensayos clínicos que pudieran dar con nuevas formas de enfrentar esta #enfermedad.
En lo personal, tanto una de mis Tía-Abuela, como mi abuela paterna (quien me había criado casi desde que tengo memoria), murieron de cáncer, así que lo tenemos como antecedente familiar en nuestras historias clínicas. Así que toda noticia que señale un avance en su tratamiento o en su diagnóstico es algo que nos trae ese recuerdo y nos da una particular alegría de saber que se sigue investigando y buscando maneras de tratar, prevenir o eliminar esta enfermedad.
Me encantaría extenderme más, pero me temo que debo dejar la publicación hasta este punto porque el tiempo apremia y no puedo confiarme de que el servicio siga funcionando, así que te deseo que tú estés bien (también que estés muy saludable) y que nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad.
