It's already Thursday night, my day has been calm, just the way I like to carry the days in my daily #life. Actually, today I took a couple of funny photos of Veronica the cat, but I plan to post them in another post, I have taken care of a few things around the house, and my brother has completed a project that he was doing for days in his workshop. As for the national news, I don't have much to tell, the situation hasn't changed much as far as I know, that may not be great news, but not being worse than yesterday is already good news.

Ya es la noche del día jueves, mi día ha sido calmado, tal como me gusta llevar los días en mi #vida cotidiana. En realidad, hoy tomé un par de fotos graciosas de la gata Verónica, pero pienso publicarlas en otro post, me he ocupado de pocas cosas en la casa, y mi hermano ha completado un proyecto que estaba haciendo desde hace días en su taller. En cuanto a las noticias nacionales, no tengo mucho para contar, la situación no ha cambiado mucho hasta donde sé, eso puede que no sea una gran noticia, pero no estar peor que ayer ya es una buena noticia.

Museums are a place that I find calming, also interesting and pleasant, but I know that it is a matter of taste. Personally, as a child, I did not visit many museums, at least not as many or as many times as I would have liked, after all, I have a peculiar taste for historical things and ancient sites. But what makes me nostalgic on this day is that I remembered that when my closest cousin was about to emigrate from Venezuela, my sister suggested that we take a walk with the cousin's two children before they moved out of the country.
It was the last time we went out with my cousin's children, we walked through the Museum of Natural Sciences in #Caracas and visited the permanent exhibitions, my sister wanted them to take one last souvenir from Venezuela, a memory that was striking in a positive sense, that break with the everyday, that would allow them to see a reality a little different from what they were going through at home at that moment.

Los museos son un sitio que yo encuentro calmantes, también interesantes y agradables, pero sé que es una cuestión de gustos. En lo personal, de niño, no visité muchos museos, al menos no tantos ni tantas veces como me habría gustado, después de todo, yo tengo un peculiar gusto por las cosas históricas y los sitios antiguos. Pero lo que hace que este día me despierte nostalgia es que me acordé de que, cuando mi primo más cercano estaba por emigrar de #Venezuela, mi hermana propuso que diéramos un paseo con los dos hijos del primo antes de que se mudaran del país.
Fue la última vez que salimos con los niños de mi primo, paseamos por el Museo de Ciencias Naturales de Caracas y visitamos las exposiciones permanentes, mi hermana quería que se llevaran un último recuerdo de Venezuela, un recuerdo que fuera llamativo en sentido positivo, que rompiera con lo cotidiano, que les permitiera ver una realidad un poco distinta a la que estaban pasando en su casa en ese momento.

The Museum is an institution that is considered as a place that deposits some kind of knowledge of the human, but that is also a place that seeks activities or actions that bring that knowledge closer to people. At least from my point of view, they are institutions that try to instill a greater sense of belonging and give a broader perspective of our reality.

El Museo es una institución que se plantea como un sitio que deposita algún tipo de conocimiento de lo humano, pero que es también un lugar que procura actividades o acciones que acercan ese conocimiento a las personas. Al menos desde mi punto de vista, son instituciones que tratan de inculcar un mayor sentido de pertenencia y dar una perspectiva más amplia de nuestra realidad.
Supongo que esta nota de hoy me está quedando un poco escueta, pero está bien por hoy. Me despido deseando que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.
