This Tuesday I went out to do some tasks outside the home, but it turns out that the office where I was going had moved and that when I went to buy a medicine at the pharmacy, I did not take a prescription because it was a non-prescription medicine, and it turns out that I I made the wrong medicine, instead of buying the one I was looking for, I bought another one that has a similar name... it sounds silly, but at least I can save it for when my father comes home, because it is one of the medicines he uses, so it is you can say that I bought it as by 'reflex action' or 'conditioned reflex'.

Anyway, my #life was a little weird today, it's not that it was very bad, but the things I wanted to do didn't turn out as I expected. I already hope that tomorrow, the tasks that I have pending will go better. I comment that I am lucky that my electrical service worked well at home today, even though in several sectors near home the service failed today for several hours, I suppose that today we were lucky, I would like that luck to continue working frequently. We have cold weather these days and the environment constantly suggests that it is about to rain, I really would like the weather to warm up a bit, but it seems that it will be a year with a predominance of low temperatures in my current Venezuela.

Este martes salí a hacer algunas tareas fuera de casa, pero resulta que la oficina a donde iba se había mudado y que cuando fui a comprar un medicamento a la farmacia, no llevé récipe por ser un medicamento de venta si prescripción, y resulta que me equivoqué de medicamento, en vez de comprar el que buscaba, compré otro que tiene un nombre similar… suena tonto, pero cuando menos lo puedo guardar para cuando mi padre pase por casa, pues es uno de los medicamentos que él usa, así que se puede decir que lo compré como por ‘acción refleja’ o ‘reflejo condicionado’.

En fin, mi #vida estuvo un poquito rara el día de hoy, no es que fuera muy mala, pero las cosas que quería hacer no salieron como me lo esperaba. Ya espero que mañana las tareas que tengo pendientes salgan mejor. Comento que tengo la suerte de que mi servicio eléctrico trabajó bien en casa hoy, aun cuando en varios sectores cerca de casa falló el servicio hoy por varias horas, supongo que hoy tuvimos suerte, me gustaría que esa suerte siga funcionando con frecuencia. Tenemos un clima frío estos días y el ambiente da a pensar constantemente que está por llover, de verdad que me gustaría que se calentara un poco el clima, pero parece que será un año con predominio de temperatura baja en mi #Venezuela actual.

Until today, I have always thought that only one always remembers the first authors of the article, #Watson and #Crick, because it is customary that those who sign as primary authors in a scientific article are what have been in charge of direct the research project, data collection and writing of the publication that discloses the results. As I used to work in a Research Unit at the University, it is something that is very familiar to me.

Pasemos mejor a comentar la efemérides de la #Historia que escogí para la publicación de hoy, se trata de un doble aniversario, pero ambas asociadas a una misma área, una que están entre la #investigacion científica del campo de #Medicina y otras #Ciencias de la vida, se trata de que hoy se cumplen 20 años de la culminación del ‘Human Genome Project’s’con el que se logró recolectar el mapa del #genoma de la especie humana actual, además de que es el 70 aniversario de la publicación que dio a conocer el descubrimiento del #ADN, esa fue una publicación muy extraordinaria de la Revista Nature del año 1953, sus autores eran un grupo de investigadores, encabezados por James Watson y Francis Crick, pero en el grupo estaban Maurice Wilkins, Rosalind Franklin y otros investigadores.

Hasta el día de hoy he pensado siempre que uno solo se acuerda siempre de los primeros autores del artículo, #Watson y #Crick, debido a que es costumbre que los que firma como autores primarios en un artículo científico son lo que se han encargado de dirigir el proyecto de investigación, la recolección de datos y la redacción de la publicación que da conocer los resultados. Como yo solía trabajar en una Unidad de Investigación en la Universidad, es una cosa que me resulta muy familiar.

Retomando el tema de la publicación, debido al doble aniversario que comentaba, el día de hoy se designó como Día del ADN a partir del año 2003, al menos en los Estados Unidos, que es donde se inició esta efemérides, luego se internacionalizó por las distintas organizaciones científicas dedicadas al estudio de esta área y a su aplicación práctica.

Thanks for the support. Certainly every day there are a large number of anniversaries, including the births and deaths of famous people in history, but I prefer to choose only one, in this case, I chose the one that seemed the most striking to me.
