Fast Food Day + Día de la Comida Rápida [Eng+Spa]
I'm ending the day, Thursday, November 16, in a better mood than it started. It wasn't that my day began in a low mood due to issues in my personal #life, but that I found out through the networks (social networks, and also through private networks) about an issue that was unpleasant and affected a couple of hundred people from my country, who went through a very unpleasant incident and who (it seems) are going to have an even worse time in the coming days.
It is not something that I can fix, and the only thing I can do is wish them that I hope everything ends quickly and is as least traumatic as possible, although I feel that it is a wish that has little chance of being fulfilled. Better, let's move on to recording about today in other things. For example, about an anniversary of the day that caught my attention, one that refers to the field of #food, and also a little to the field of #health, since these are foods that are not recommended for frequent consumption (some people even totally contraindicate them). It's 'Fast Food Day'.

Estoy terminando el día jueves, 16 de noviembre, con un estado de ánimo mejor de como comenzó. No fue que mi día comenzara de bajo ánimo por asuntos de mi #vida personal, sino que me enteré por las redes (redes sociales, y también por redes privadas) de un asunto que era desagradable y afectaba a un par de cientos de gente de mi país, que pasaron un incidente muy desagradable y que (según parece) aún la van a pasar peor en los días próximos.
No es algo que yo pueda arreglar, y lo único que puedo hacer es desearles que ojalá todo termine rápido y sea lo menos traumático que se pueda, aunque siento que es un deseo que no tiene grandes probabilidades de que se cumpla. Mejor pasemos a registrar sobre el día de hoy en otras cosas. Por ejemplo, sobre una efeméride del día que me llamó la atención, una que se refiere al campo de la #comida, y también un poco al campo de la #salud, pues se trata de unos alimentos que no se recomiendan para su consumo frecuente (incluso algunas personas los contraindican totalmente). Es el ‘Día de la Comida Rápida’.

La fecha hace referencia a un estilo de comida industrializado y de producción rápida que se comenzó a desarrollar en los Estados Unidos en la década de los años 50. Durante la postguerra, diversos negocios trataron de incrementar sus horizontes, aprovechando el auge económico que logró su país como parte del bando vencedor. Una de las ideas que surgió, fue aplicar los principios de la producción en serie y la departamentalización, que ya había mostrado sus éxitos en la manufactura de bienes, pero desarrollando un sistema de trabajo y una dinámica de #cocina que se adaptara a esas ideas.
Lo que se logró es un modelo de negocio que luego se expandió por la creación de franquicias, además de que se internacionalizó y llegó a influir en distintas tradiciones culinarias. Aunque no todo es creación norteamericana, pues la comida callejera y la comida rápida tienen en común muchas cosas y la comida sencilla callejera, de rápida elaboración, es una parte de las tradiciones gastronómicas de muchas partes del mundo.

El problema de salud que surge aquí, es que en la composición de esta comida suele presentarse un desbalance nutricional, lo que llega a facilitar la aparición de diversos problemas de salud y de enfermedades si se produce un consumo reiterado durante largos periodos. En lo personal, me gusta comer un poco de esta comida callejera, y rápida, de vez en cuando, pero sé que no es muy saludable y que debo limitarme al respecto.
Pero pareciera que justamente esa combinación de sabor y la idea de que es algo que ‘no debería estar haciendo esto’, hacen que esta comida sea incluso más atractiva. En fin, que la tentación resulta fuerte (sonrisa personal). Bien, supongo que ya es momento de que me despida, y de que vea que queda en la cocina, porque escribir de comida siempre me despierta el hambre. Que estés bien y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.

Sé que no es sano comerla en exceso. Pero de cuando en cuando era un gusto poder tener algo de comida rápida. Se hace en falta, en estos días.
Y lo curioso es que cuando se prepara en casa nunca le logramos dar el mismo sabor... como que le falta algo a la receta que usamos. Puede que le falte más glutamanato-monosódico u otro compuesto loco que no puedo ni pronunciar :)
