It's Caturday + Es Caturday [Eng+Spa]

It's Saturday night and the day is ending, a quiet day in my #life, and without much to report. However, I wanted to share something that I found a little funny and also take advantage of the fact that it is a day of the week that #cat fans usually call #Caturday.
To begin, I have to say that a couple of days ago my brother made a bed for the cat, recycling the casing of an old computer monitor, of the CRT type, a decades-old device that was lying in a corner of the workshop. Anyway, my brother had completed the work and the idea was to imitate a small cave for Vero to sleep inside, but I joked with him that it had to be seen that he decided to make that #pet.

Es la noche del sábado y está terminando el día, un día tranquilo en mi #vida, y sin mucho que reportar. Sin embargo, quería compartir una cosa que encontré un poco graciosa y además aprovechar que es un día de la semana que los fanáticos de los #gatos suelen llamar Caturday.
Para comenzar, tengo que decir que mi hermano hizo hace un par de días una cama para el gato, reciclando la carcasa de un viejo monitor de computadora, del tipo CRT, un aparato de hace décadas y que estaba tirado en un rincón del taller. Well, you can see from the photo I have on the cover of the post that Vero has preferred to sleep next to the bed that my brother made for her and doesn't pay any attention to it. It's a bit cruel, but it reaffirms two things. First, it's the old saying that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. And the second thing is that cats are animals that are very reluctant to change, and they are creatures that will always do what they want to do.
So, I took a photo of it and jokingly told my brother that it was something like the #MEME about how a cat owner bought his cute kitty an expensive house and built it in the corner where the cat used to sleep, but the cat preferred to sleep in the box in which the bed had come, accompanying the image with a little sign that said: 'Wealth does not buy happiness. Bien, ya puedes ver por la foto que tengo de portada en el post que Vero ha preferido dormir al lado de la cama que le hizo mi hermano y no le hace ningún caso. Es un poco cruel, pero reafirma dos cosas. Primero, se trata del viejo refrán de que se puede llevar al caballo al agua, pero no se le puede obligar a beber. Y lo segundo, es que los gatos son #animales muy reticentes a los cambios, y son criaturas que siempre harán lo que les dé la gana hacer.
Así que le tomé una foto y le dije en broma a mi hermano que era algo así como el #MEME de que un dueño de gato le compró a su lindo minino una costosa casa y se la armó en la esquina que solía dormir el gato, pero el gato prefirió dormir en la caja en que había venido la cama, acompañando la imagen con un cartelito que decía: ‘La riqueza no compra la felicidad. Atentamente, El Michi’.
Okay, en eso de dormir en caja, Vero también tiene sus momentos, y se puede meter a descansar en cualquier pequeña caja de zapatos que vea puesta por allí, pero me habría gustado que le hiciera un poco más de atención a la cama que le hizo mi hermano. Después de todo, invertir tiempo y trabajo en hacerle la cama es una muestra de cariño y me alegraría que este gato le retribuyera, pero supongo que hay que aceptar que los gatos ‘son así como son, no como quisiéramos que fueran’.

But aside from that slightly stubborn trait, Vero is a very good cat, very decent. He is a cat that does not climb on the table, does not climb into the kitchen, does not steal food, is not marking the house with his urine or feces. In short, he is a sweetheart in all other aspects, which does not deny that he does have a certain dominant and stubborn character, but he is quite affectionate and provides good company.

Pero fuera de ese rasgo un poco terco, Vero es un muy buen gato, muy decente. Es un gato que no se sube a la mesa, no se sube a la cocina, no roba comida, no está marcando la casa con su orina o heces. En fin, es un amor de gato en todos los demás aspectos, cosa que no niega que, sí que tiene un cierto carácter dominante y terco, pero es bastante cariñoso y da buena compañía.
Sumemos a todo lo dicho, que no he visto a ningún ratón en la casa desde hace tiempo y eso me gusta, tampoco he visto más mariposas, ni muchas lagartijas, ni casi ningún otro animal o insecto… en fin, que Vero erradica o espanta plagas y fuera de uno que otro momento de maullidos inquietos, no da ninguna molestia. Es un gato que es un amor.
¡Ops! Creo que me extendí un poco más de lo que tenía pensado, así que es momento de que me despido y te desee que tú estés bien, que pases un buen fin de semana, y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en un futuro.

What a nice gesture of your brother to make a bed for the cat!
Although it's funny that Vero preferred to sleep on the side instead of inside the bed. Cats are like that, always doing what they want. Maybe it's just a matter of time before he starts using it. At least your brother did an interesting and simple job.
