Rain + LLuvia [Eng+Spa]
Today is Wednesday, April 17. This record of the day is going to be somewhat introspective. Today my life went well, I woke up early, worked on a couple of errands, bought various groceries and, in general, it was one of those days that I love to have in my #life. Even the fact that it was cloudy most of the time is not something that was very bad.
I live in a tropical country, so we have something like two weather seasons a year, a period when it rains (like the sky is falling) and a relatively rainless time (although there may be some sporadic or light rain showers). We are supposed to be still in the hot season with no rain, but I guess today the weather had a conflict with that (touch of humor).

Es miércoles, 17 de abril. Este registro del día va a ser un tanto introspectivo. Hoy mi vida transcurrió bien, desperté temprano, trabajé en un par de encargos, compré víveres diversos y, en general, fue uno de esos días que amo tener en mi #vida. Incluso el detalle de que estuviera nublado la mayor parte del tiempo no es algo que fuera muy malo.
Vivo en un país tropical, así que tenemos algo así como dos estaciones de clima al año, un periodo en que llueve (como si se cayera el cielo) y un tiempo relativamente sin lluvias (aunque pueden darse algunas lluvias esporádicas o ligeras). Se supone que estamos aún en la temporada de calor y sin lluvias, pero supongo que hoy el clima tenía un conflicto con eso (toque de humor).

The rain fell already at night, we are home and our electrical service had intermittent failures, but we can still work on the computers and cook. That already tells you how good we are. I recently read a little about an old acquaintance who emigrated and was in a terrible situation, one of the procedures for his documents became complicated, and he was left without legal work. He had no way to pay for the room, and it is obvious that he had to vacate, because there was nothing in the contract that would allow him to negotiate an extension in the payment of rent.
I don't blame the owner, I also understand that it is rented as a business, not as an act of charity. But, if I have to get upset with something, it is with the poorly managed bureaucracy that he placed in the current situation. Well, now that I found out, the colleague had managed to stay in a homeless shelter, while he looks for how to earn some income (even if he is working in 'Black Payroll'), and he manages to complete his renewed documents.
In the country he is in, there are marked variations in the climate in seasons, so staying on the streets is almost suicide, it is worse for a person born in the tropics (who is not used to it). I can only wish him that his situation improves.

La lluvia cayó ya en la noche, estamos en casa y nuestro servicio eléctrico presentó fallas intermitentes, pero aún podemos trabajar en las computadoras y cocinar. Eso ya te dice lo bien que estamos. Hace poco leí un poco de un viejo conocido que emigró y estaba en una situación francamente mala, se le complicó uno de los trámites de sus documentos, y quedó sin trabajo legal. No tenía como pagar la habitación, y es obvio que le tocó desalojar, porque no estaba en contrato nada que permitiera negociar una prórroga en el pago de alquiler.
No culpo al propietario, yo también entiendo que se alquila como negocio, no como acto de caridad. Pero, si tengo que molestarme con algo, es con la burocracia mal llevada que le colocó en la situación actual. Bueno, ya ahora que me enteré, el colega había conseguido quedarse en un albergue para gente sin hogar, mientras busca como ganar algún ingreso (incluso si es trabajando ‘en Negro’), y logra completar sus documentos renovados.
En el país que él está, hay unas marcadas variaciones del clima en estaciones, así que quedarse a vivir en la calle es casi un suicidio, es peor para una persona nacida en el trópico que no está acostumbrada. Solo le puedo desear que su situación mejore.

Así, observo entonces la #lluvia y recuerdo a viejas amistades. Supongo que el clima me pone un poco melancólico. Además de que no me siente muy bien el clima de lluvia, por las molestias en articulaciones, y mi facilidad (en años reciente) de agarrar resfriados.
Pareciera que hoy, a pesar de que en mis asuntos personales no tengo queja, el clima ‘mental’ que tengo y el clima que veo por la ventana, están un poco sintonizados. A pesar de todo, me gusta recordar que no siempre la lluvia me causaba estas sensaciones, en la infancia salía bajo la lluvia a jugar casi desnudo, para disfrutar del clima, y también era algo que se suponía que ayudaba a fortalecer el cuerpo. Así que la lluvia se volvía un tiempo de juego, luego del cual, entraba en casa para secarme, tomar una bebida caliente, y estar con la familia.
En fin, parece que sí que ando con un poco de nostalgia (sonrisa de disculpa). Mejor me encargo ya de publicar y me despido. Deseándose que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.

I had smiles on my face as I read through. How your day started and how content you are. It is something beautiful.
You said so much, and I am sorry the cold weather may cause you pain, but still, you had beautiful memories of it. There's a lot of heat here, and it started from the very first day of January, and it is still hanging. I prefer the cold, hehe. It is always better.
I am in favor of a temperate weather, I don't go to extremes :)
