It's ending on Monday. And it has been a pleasant day. I also see, in the list of #History Ephemeris celebrations, that there is a party today in the #food area that brings back memories of some relatives. Before that, let me comment a little about how my life has been, after all this is a daily log post.
Today I started activities a little late, but it wasn't problematic. I didn't have any work email and I didn't have to leave the house, so I spent most of the day checking posts from colleagues on various networks where we usually share. Outside of that, my #life has passed without any relevant news.

In my country, #shrimp are also frequently called prawn, and I have read that they can be called #Scampi. This last word is a culinary term used for a small lobster, also known as Nephrops.
It caught my attention that it is not the day for all types of shrimp preparations. It is the day of celebration of a very particular recipe. While doing some searching for the reason for this, I came across a paragraph that gives a brief indication of the ingredients in the recipe, and it piqued my interest in preparing this dish in the near future:

Just thinking about the taste of this stir-fry dish made me hungry.
I chose the celebration because it reminded me of my late grandmother, she had a great taste for seafood, squid, and more. But over the years, she developed a food allergy against these ingredients, and she could not eat them anymore. That was kind of sad. On the other hand, my father also really likes these dishes, so I guess the taste for shrimp runs in my family (personal smile).
I hope I can be like my father and never develop the allergic condition that my grandmother had.

I was not able to find the reason this is celebrated on this day, but I did find that it is a holiday of North American origin. And that it has been a few decades since it has tried to internationalize it. This day is not yet a fully International Day, but I hope it will be in a short time.

Está terminando el lunes. Y ha sido un día agradable. También veo, en el listado de celebraciones de Efemérides de la #Historia, que hay una fiesta hoy en el área de la #comida que me trae recuerdos de algunos parientes. Antes de eso, deja que comente un poco sobre cómo ha estado mi vida, después de todo este es un post de registro diario.
Hoy comencé actividades un poco tarde, pero no fue problemático. No tenía ningún correo de trabajo y no tenía que salir de casa, así que pasé la mayor parte del día revisando publicaciones de colegas en varias redes en las que solemos compartir. En mi país las #gambas suelen llamarse también camarones, y he leído que se les puede llamar #Scampi. Esta última palabra es un término culinario usado para una pequeña langosta, también conocida como Nephrops.
Me llamó la atención que no es que sea día de todos los tipos de preparaciones de gambas. Es el día de celebración de una receta muy particular. Mientras buscaba un poco el motivo de esto, me encontré con un párrafo que da una breve indicación de los ingredientes de la receta, y me despertó el interés de preparar este platillo en un futuro cercano:

Tan solo pensar en el sabor de este platillo salteado me abrió el apetito.
Escogí la celebración porque me hizo recordar a mi difunta abuela, ella tenía un gran gusto por los mariscos, calamares, y otros productos del mar. Pero con los años, desarrollo una alergia alimentaria contra estos ingredientes y no los pudo comer más. Eso fue algo triste. Por otra parte, a mi padre también le gustan mucho estos platillos, así que supongo que el gusto por las gambas me viene de familia (sonrisa personal).
Espero poder ser como mi padre y nunca desarrollar la condición alérgica que tenía mi abuela.

No logré hallar el motivo de que se celebre esto en este día, pero sí hallé que es una fiesta de origen norteamericano y que ha sido hace unas pocas décadas que se ha tratado de internacionalizar. Aún no es un Día Internacional plenamente, pero espero que lo sea en un tiempo breve.
