Needlework on how I made a female trouser with crop top

Happy needleworkmonday to you all

How was your holidays, hope it was fine.
I'm here to share with you all on how i made this female trouser with crop top and it happened to be the first time of me trying a female trouser with crop top, although it wasn't easy for me due to my baby's disturbances everday, i would have share this with you guys for long but because of my phone problem so i had to used my tenant's phone and she traveled out with her phone so i had to wait till she return, luckily she came back few days ago so collected the pictures from her, although she wasn't with her phone from the beginning of the steps i would have snapped from the beginning but with my few steps, i will love to show you all.

This ankara fabric just came out so urgent and it was a traditional marriage uniform, so my kid sister in-law @iniems she is one of our members in this great would (@hive) she just came back from school and she worked to me and gave this beautiful fabric to me telling me to sew for her and the ceremony was quite closed, i didn't have any other choice than to sew for her, i really love her so much so i have to help her out because the bride is their family member, it was late already that day so i started working on it the next day.

She needed this trouser with crop top using the same fabric to sew the crop top but i find out that the remaining fabric will not be enough for me to used for the crop top, so we were thinking on a kind of top that will match with the trouser and we couldn't find it, so i remember i had a remaining blue satin material, as i was searching for the blue i also met with black satin color, luckily she choose the black over the blue color and we love black color because it matches with any color at all.

let move down to the procedure

I started with the front trouser first, so i folded the material into two, i measured out the full length, I divided her waist in to four places and mark it down, then from the calculation of what i have in the waist is the exactly what i take in the croch length plus 4inches because it's a high waist trouser, after having the crotch length, i went ahead to divide her hips measurements into four and the exactly amount of what i have in dividing it by four is the crotch width plus 4 inches allowance, after having the crotch width, i also dividing the laps in to four places with 4 inches allowance and mark it down too, because this trouser will not be too tide that is the reason why I'm putting the allowance, so after finished drafting it, i now cut it out.

Here is the front side

After cutting out the front, i folded the remaining fabric by two and placed the front on top of it, because in all trousers the back side will be bigger than the front, so after placing the front, i put 3inches for the crotch length and 1 and the half at the front zipper places then i added 3 inches to the other down part, i now return the 1and the half measurements which i used in slanting the waist front part to the back waist so that the waist will not have any error on it, after all the back procedure i cut it out.

Here is the back side

After finishing with all the cutting i went to my sewing machine and sew them out, this doesn't took me a lot of time to finished with the sewing because i did not put any pocket on it according to my client hahaha 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
Please friends, my kid sister in-law, is she my client?
I only put a zip at the side, then i pit a waist band on the waist and join them all around.

I'm done with the trouser and i went ahead with the crop top, she just shown me the style form someone's phone and it was too simple, because i have unfishing work to deliver to one of my clients and the next day was the marriage ceremony, i have to keep the crop top till the next day and finish up the unfinished work, the next morning i have to prepare my baby's food with some house choice before i sew the crop top, she told me that she don't want to be late, i just rush and foled the black satin by two and it is an off shoulder cro top, i didn't have any lining to turn it but her style help me, after folding it by two, i off the length by 6, like i measured hee full and minus out the 6inches, i divided her burst and body by two and put 2 inches sewing allowance and cut out, after cutting out the front, i folded the remaining material again by two and i placed the front ontop and put 2 inches for zipper allowance and cut it our, i wwnt to my sewing machine and started sewing, i first holed the dart front and back.

After holding the dart

After holding the dart, i now put in the zip at the back side and join the body together, there will be no hands on it, i just took the remaining material and a gape, in this gape i measured her round shoulder to the zip point and cut out the material times 4 because i wantto giving out the plitings i went ahead and used it and turned the neck line, as i was done with turning i give out a bending to the shoulder point so that the place will be very very need, she wanted a rope on the ham of the crop top with a band on it too, so i pit a 2 inches band on it with 2 inches rope at the side and the finishing work is to iron it and it's ready to wear.

All the pictures are taking out by my neighbors smart phone and the handmade are made by me @pekkymos

You nailed this one the colours are great and trousers are shapely and well fitting. Your kid sis-in-law is quite the model!

And I bet she likes having a clothes designer and maker in the family.

Great to see your process of making them too.
