The evolution of my YouTube channel… on the road to monetisation!

Gaining followers

About two months ago I started a YouTube channel from scratch, with the intent to become big enough to become monetised. Off course that’s not an overnight job. But I am dedicated to keep it going until I get enough followers and views to get monetised.

So, the task in the beginning is trying to get a following. Which goes very slowly in the beginning. But to get that following you have to have content and post that content consistently.

With that in mind I started to post funny shorts. Videos of maximum 1 minute long. I post almost every day between 2 and six shorts. In the beginning I got about 10 views per day, and it took me 40 days to get the first 25 subscribers. The next 25 only took me half that time. And that is where I am currently, at 50 subscribers and between 400 and 700 views per day, with some days over 3000 views.

Scaling up

Now, the task is quite the same as it was before, keep on posting daily and keep on growing the following. And especially keep interacting with the subscribers.
I hope to round the corner of 100 subscribers in about 20 days. The next 100 should become easier… At least that’s how it should go. At this rate, by fall I should get the point of 1000 subscribers and then we should focus on the 10 million views…

I will keep you updated!
