Recently I started to get back into the habit of drawing again and I was reviewing all my old drawings to give them a fresh look with my new drawing style, so taking advantage of playing Cult of the Lamb, I found my old drawing of this game and I redrew it with my current drawing style.

SKETCH

Based on what I had done before, in Cult of the Lamb the sheep that is the protagonist has two sides, the kind side with his followers and also his dark and scary side for his enemies, following this logic I drew both sides of the coin, but improving the pose and the scenery, something that failed in my old drawing.

LINEART

After making the sketch I decided to give the Cartoon style characteristic of this game with thick lines and with many effects, I also began to design the scenario little by little as the idea was cooking, unlike my first drawing, the light side would be in the sky (so his followers see him as a kind god) and the dark side with his dark powers (tentacles, flames and runes).

COLOR

Obviously I used very flat colors for the Cartoon style and to highlight the difference of the two sides, something that was a little difficult because in that game the amount of colors abounds, so I opted for soft and bright colors in the morning sky and a very dark shade of purple along with red on the evil side to highlight the corruption.

LIGHT AND SHADOW

As soon as I finished the coloring, I started to highlight the difference in tones and to apply light and shadow on the body, highlighting areas of the body like the horns, the fur and the scenery, besides that I drew the power of our protagonist to invoke black flames that chase the enemies, besides highlighting the scenery with details in the tentacles and the flames.

EFFECTS

To finish apply intense light on the layers to highlight the divine tone on the luminous side and on the dark side apply lights to the eyes and flames, as well as adding darkness proper to the strong light effects. Also add details to clothing and scenery.

FINAL

When I finished I realized the difference in the style of drawing, really the practice and discipline help me to progress a lot, I still have many drawings that I want to fix and give them the current touch, but I thought this one was great as it was.

Hace poco empecé a retomar el habito de dibujar de nuevo y estuve revisando todos mis antiguos dibujos para darles un aire fresco y con mi nuevo estilo de dibujo, así que aprovechando que estoy jugando Cult of the Lamb, encontré mi antiguo dibujo de este juego y lo volví a dibujar con mi estilo de dibujo actual.

SKETCH

Basándome en lo que había hecho antes, en Cult of the Lamb la oveja que es el protagonista tiene sus dos lados, el lado bondadoso con sus seguidores y también su lado oscuro y tenebroso para sus enemigos, siguiendo esta lógica dibuje los dos lados de la moneda, pero mejorando las la pose y el escenario, algo que fallo en mi dibujo antiguo.

LINEART

Luego del hacer el boceto decidí darle el estilo Cartoon característico de este juego con líneas gruesas y con muchos efectos, también empecé a diseñar el escenario poco a poco conforme la idea se iba cocinando, a diferencia de mi primer dibujo, el lado luminoso estaría en el cielo (así lo ven sus seguidores, como un dios bondadoso) y el lado oscuro con sus poderes oscuros (tentáculos, llamas y runas)

COLOR

Obviamente use colores muy planos para el estilo Cartoon y resaltar la diferencia de los dos lados, algo que fue un poco difícil pues en ese juego abunda la cantidad de colores, así que opte por colores suaves y luminosos en el cielo mañanero y por un tono muy oscuro de purpura junto con rojo en el lado malvado para resaltar la corrupción.

LUCES Y SOMBRA

Apenas termine el coloreado, empecé a destacar la diferencia de tonos y a aplicar la luz y sombra en el cuerpo, resaltando áreas del cuerpo como los cuernos, el pelaje y el escenario, además de ello dibuje el poder de nuestro protagonista de invocar llamas negras que persiguen a los enemigos, además de resaltar el escenario con detalles en los tentáculos y las llamas.

EFECTOS

Para terminar aplique luz intensa en las capas para resaltar el tono divino en el lado luminoso y en el lado oscuro le aplique luces a los ojos y a las llamas, así como agregar oscuridad propia de los efectos de luz fuerte. Además de agregar detalles a la ropa y el escenario.

FINAL

Al terminar me di cuenta de la diferencia de estilo de dibujo, de verdad que la practica y la disciplina ayudar a progresar muchísimo, aun me quedan muchos dibujos que quiero arreglar y darles el toque actual, pero este me pareció genial como quedo.
