Who´s that Pokemon? It´s Crocronaw!! (ESP/ ENG)
Hola gente bella de @Sketchbook en esta ocasión quería mostrarles está ilustración de un Pokémon cuyo diseño me atrae, pues Totodile es un Pokémon insignia de la segunda generación pero no muchos hablamos de su evolución Croconaw, el cuál es la versión regordeta de Totodile.
A diferencia de su pre-evolución este se ve un poco más salvaje y menos amigable y realmente me provocó dibujarlo pues significo mucho para mi ya que fue uno de mis pokemon iniciales de mi infancia. Y según la pokedex era de carácter mas serio y eso me gusto cuando era niño.
Asi que les mostrare como fue el proceso:
Boceto
En esta ilustración fue sencillo elegir la pose, pues quería que se viera tierno a la vez que se veía mas imponente/serio, así que decidí sentarlo en una piedra en el rio al ser de tipo agua.
Su diseño recuerda mucho a la ropa de los cavernicolas, asi que fue relativamente facil dibujar sus detalles iniciales.
Color
Luego de añadir color a el diseño inicial, y definir algunas lineas, empezamos a definir el escenario poco a poco, en esta ocasión no quise empezar a colorear al final sino que trabaje por partes y no todo de una vez.
Escenario y Sombras
Aqui si estuve bastante rato, queria definir el entorno, y como he estado practicando en algunas tecnicas, queria implementarlas y tambien usar las herramientas del mismo programa para facilitarme la vida, asi que usando diferentes pinceles le di forma y volumen a las hojas del rio y le añadi sombras tanto al agua como a nuestro Croconaw.
Luces y Detalles finales
Al final, lo que sentí que llevaba mas tiempo y dedicación fue hacer que el agua se viera mas realista, y como estuve practicando una técnica la quise implementar, además de darle un poco mas de luminosidad a Croconaw, aunque los Pokemon pocas veces tienen una piel que refleje tanto, quise que asi fuera por el simple hecho de estar mojado o que su piel refleje la luz.
Y aquí tenemos a un Croconaw en su entorno natural jajaja, debo decir que me gusto dibujar este Pokemon bastante, fue todo un ejercicio dibujar mejores escenarios y también elegir dibujar a un Pokémon que casi nadie conoce, o que no le guste a todo el mundo.

Hello beautiful people from @Sketchbook, this time I wanted to show you this illustration of a Pokémon whose design attracts me, since Totodile is a flagship Pokémon of the second generation but not many of us talk about its Croconaw evolution, which is the plump version of Totodile.
Unlike its pre-evolution, this one looks a bit wilder and less friendly and it really made me draw it because it meant a lot to me since it was one of my initial pokemon from my childhood. And according to the pokedex it was more serious and I liked that when I was a child.
So I'll show you how the process went:
Sketch
In this illustration it was easy to choose the pose, because I wanted it to look cute at the same time that it looked more imposing/serious, so I decided to sit it on a stone in the river as it is a water type.
His design is very reminiscent of caveman clothing, so it was relatively easy to draw his initial details.
Colour
After adding color to the initial design, and defining some lines, we began to define the stage little by little, this time I didn't want to start coloring at the end but rather work in parts and not all at once.
Stage and Shadows
I spent a lot of time here, I wanted to define the environment, and since I've been practicing some techniques, I wanted to implement them and also use the tools of the program to make my life easier, so using different brushes I gave shape and volume to the leaves of the river and added shadows to both the water and our Croconaw.
Lights and final details
In the end, what I felt took the most time and dedication was to make the water look more realistic, and since I was practicing a technique I wanted to implement it, in addition to giving Croconaw a little more lightness, although Pokemon rarely have a skin that reflects so much, I wanted it to be so for the simple fact of being wet or that your skin reflects light.
And here we have a Croconaw in its natural environment hahaha, I must say that I liked drawing this Pokemon a lot, it was quite an exercise to draw better scenarios and also choose to draw a Pokemon that hardly anyone knows, or that not everyone likes .

AMO este Pokémon. Crocronaw es super cuchi a pesar de su seriedad. Pero debo admitir que mi favorito es Feraligator.
