Hace bastante tiempo @oldfool y yo teníamos muchas ganas de jugar a algún MMORPG, pero no sabíamos cuál jugar. Pensamos en volver al WoW, pero ya habíamos jugado bastante al WoW y queríamos una nueva experiencia. Descartamos un montón de juegos MMO, buscamos reseñas de juegos viejos que siguieran funcionando en el 2022, pero la población de la mayoría de estos juegos era demasiado baja. @oldfool me mencionó Guild Wars 2, esto no me emocionó demasiado ya que había visto algunas cosas de este juego que no me habían gustado demasiado, aunque nunca lo jugué, el juego realmente no me atraía. Discutimos un rato sobre si jugarlo o no, hasta que accedí y le dije "Está bien, lo descargaré". Te daré un pequeño spoiler: El día de ayer lo jugué por más de 8 horas seguidas, nada mal.

Tengo que decir que aún no finaliza la descarga de este juego, aunque es bastante bueno que te deje jugar mientras descarga el contenido restante. Si quieres jugar Guild Wards 2, creo que tiene un tamaño de 50gb, pero puedes jugarlo con tan solo descargar 10gb, nada mal.

Usualmente elegir una clase-profesión en un MMO es una de las decisiones más complicadas que existen para mi, esta vez la selección de servidores fue la más complicada(Si tan solo hubiera antes sabido que el servidor realmente no importaba, todos están conectados y solo importa en las guerras de mundo PvP).

El apartado de personalización de los personajes me gustó bastante en este juego, creo que es bastante completo y si sentí que mi personaje realmente quedó como yo quería. Decidí ir a por una raza que tuviera una apariencia intimidante, así que fui a por un "Charr".

Notarás que esta raza luce como una bestia potente, por eso me gustó. Como es costumbre, mi personaje es femenino. Realmente me encantó el resultado final, incluso parece una Skin. Las demás razas tampoco están nada mal, tal vez luego decida ir a por una waifu de raza humana.

En la personalización puedes cambiar el color del pelaje, el estilo del pelaje, tamaño de cuernos, posición y tamaño de los ojos, color de estos, color de la ropa y mucho más, realmente está bastante bien.

Después de terminar de personalizar a mi personaje estuve esperando a Oldfool para hacer el tutorial juntos y empezar nuestra aventura. Teníamos miedo de haber elegido el servidor incorrecto, pero un jugador me respondió mi inquietud y me dijo que los servidores están ligados entre sí(¡Gracias jugador extraño!). No pasó demasiado tiempo hasta poder encontrarnos en el lugar del tutorial.

Al finalizar el tutorial, Oldfool hizo un amigo, nuestro primer amigo en Guild Wars 2. Nuestro nuevo amigo nos habló maravillas de Guild Wars 2, nos dijo que llevaba 5 años jugando, es muchísimo tiempo y que nos diga que el juego le sigue gustando es una gran señal.

No queríamos avanzar rápido, así que lo primero que le dijimos es que no queríamos ayuda, así que él nos dijo que no importaba, ya que los mapas de ese juego tienen un equilibrador de nivel, lo que significa que si eres nivel 400, mientras estés en ese lugar serás como los demás. Eso me pareció bastante interesante sinceramente, me gusta que exista esa limitante para evitar que los jugadores más fuertes utilicen esa ventaja para subir de nivel a Alts o avanzar de nivel a los nuevos jugadores y así evitarles la experiencia de leveleo(se supone que si juegas un MMO es para pasarla bien subiendo de nivel a tu personaje).

A pesar de que nuestro nuevo amigo no nos ayudó a subir de nivel, si nos ayudó con mucha información acerca del juego. Nos dijo que en cada mapa existen eventos aleatorios que suceden una y otra vez, como si cada mapa tuviera vida propia. Eso nos sorprendió bastante la verdad, ayuda a hacer el gameplay mucho más movido y menos repetitivo.

Mi idea era hacer una serie de vídeos de nuestro inicio en Guild Wars y mostrarles nuestro progreso en cada vídeo, pero lo olvidé por completo mientras jugaba. Actualmente mi personaje es nivel 23 y ya completé todas las misiones del primer mapa junto a @oldfool, puede que parezca una locura, pero no lo es, de hecho es bastante sencillo. Casi cualquier cosa que hagas en este juego te dará recompensas, así que lo mejor es no dejada nada sin explorar.

Aún no tenemos claro cuál será nuestro objetivo en este juego, solo sé que estoy disfrutando todo el trayecto. Ya intentamos una mazmorra entre 3, pero no pudimos, los monstruos nos hicieron añicos, literalmente. Bueno, la mazmorra era de nivel 30 y nosotros éramos un nivel bastante inferior haha.

La clase de mi personaje es "Guardian", elegí esta clase para ser el tanque de la party, pero nuestro nuevo amigo me dijo que en realidad ese personaje no es tanque como tal, aunque si mencionó que es una de las clases más amadas del juego. Espero al menos aguantar lo suficiente como para subir de nivel sin ningún problema y servir de algo en las mazmorras. Me gustaría explicarte que hace cada una de mis habilidades, pero es mi primer día jugando este MMO y apenas entiendo como funcionan mis habilidades.

Las tareas o misiones de mapa son bastante sencillas, al menos por ahora. Al principio puede parecer un poco complicado, pero con el tiempo te acostumbras. Pronto les mostraré mi progreso actualizado y tal vez les traiga varios gameplays explicando y mostrando varias cosas que me han gustado. Espero que disfrutes mis palabras. Quite some time ago @oldfool and I really wanted to play some MMORPG, but we didn't know which one to play. We thought about going back to WoW, but we had already played enough WoW and wanted a new experience. We ruled out a lot of MMO games, looked for reviews of old games that would still be alive in 2022, but the population of most of these games was too low. @oldfool mentioned Guild Wars 2 to me, this didn't excite me too much as I had seen some things about this game that I hadn't liked too much, even though I never played it, the game didn't really appeal to me. We argued for a while about whether to play it or not, until I agreed and told him "Okay, I'll download it". I'll give you a little spoiler: I played it for over 8 hours straight yesterday, not bad.

I have to say that the download of this game is not finished yet, although it's pretty cool that it lets you play while downloading the remaining content. If you want to play Guild Wards 2, you will have to download 50gb in files, but you can play it with just 10gb, not bad.

The character customization section I quite liked in this game, I think it is quite complete and I did feel that my character really looked the way I wanted it to. I decided to go for a race that had an intimidating appearance, so I went for a "Charr".

You'll notice that this race looks like a powerful beast, so that's why I liked it. As usual, my character is female. I really loved the end result, she even looks like a Skin. The other races aren't bad either, maybe later I'll decide to go for a human race waifu.

In the customization you can change the color of the fur, the style of the fur, size of horns, position and size of the eyes, color of the eyes, color of the clothes and much more, it's really quite good.

After I finished customizing my character I was waiting for Oldfool to do the tutorial together and start our adventure. We were afraid that we had chosen the wrong server, but a player answered my concern and told me that the servers are linked to each other (Thanks strange player!). It didn't take long before we were able to meet at the tutorial location.

At the end of the tutorial, Oldfool made a friend, our first friend in Guild Wars 2. Our new friend raved about Guild Wars 2, he told us that he had been playing for 5 years, that's a very long time and for him to tell us that he still loves the game is a great sign.

We didn't want to fast forward, so the first thing we told him is that we didn't want help, so he told us that it didn't matter, as the maps in that game have a level balancer, which means that if you are level 400, as long as you are in that place you will be just like everyone else. I found that quite interesting honestly, I like that there is that limitation to prevent stronger players to use that advantage to level up Alts or level up new players and thus avoid them the leveling experience (it is assumed that if you play an MMO is to have a good time leveling your character).

Although our new friend didn't help us level up, he did help us with a lot of information about the game. He told us that in each map there are random events that happen over and over again, as if each map had a life of its own. That surprised us a lot, it helps to make the gameplay much more lively and less repetitive.

My idea was to make a series of videos of our start in Guild Wars and show you our progress in each video, but I completely forgot about it while playing. Currently my character is level 23 and I already completed all the quests on the first map together with @oldfool, it may sound crazy, but it's not, in fact it's quite simple. Almost anything you do in this game will give you rewards, so it's best not to leave anything unexplored.

We are still not clear what our goal will be in this game, I just know that I am enjoying the whole journey. We already tried a dungeon between 3 of us, but we couldn't, the monsters shattered us, literally. Well, the dungeon was level 30 and we were quite a bit lower level haha.

My character's class is "Guardian", I chose this class to be the tank of the party, but our new friend told me that actually that character is not a tank as such, although he did mention that it is one of the most loved classes in the game. I hope to at least resist enough to level up without any problem and be of some use in the dungeons. I'd like to explain what each of my skills does, but it's my first day playing this MMO and I barely understand how my skills work.

The map tasks or quests are pretty straightforward, at least for now. At first it may seem a bit complicated, but eventually you get used to it.
