FUN FACT: BROILER BIRDS ARE ALSO PECKERS AND DESTROYERS.

At this Junction, I won't mind to agree that broiler birds are also peckers. What is the meaning of to peck? Pecking is mostly done by birds of any category. As Broilers are also Birds, Pecking is the continuous exercise done mostly by birds by piercing, puncturing, digging etc holes on any kind of object such as woods,feeds, rubber drinkers, iron, pen floor surface.

In every batch of birds that I rear, after they are sold, the preparatory process that happens next is renovation of the Pen House by disinfecting the whole Pen, most especially the pen floor. But before that, there are spaces in the pen floor caused by the Broiler birds by pecking. Once they notice small holes, they make sure they dig or peck through to make it bigger like destroying the floor surface.

So I think every batch of Broiler birds I rear always want to make sure that they leave their own mark before they reach to harvest. In preparation to bring in new birds, the floor surface has to be renovated with the holes filled with the mixture of cement, sand and water.
