Africa is blessed with different soil that good for all kinds of farming purposes for almost varieties of crop. Aside that we are also blessed with raining that could rain for almost 5 to 6 months non-stop which gives room for all kind of crops to survive. For example, like cassava,maize,yam,cocoa-yam,,banana,okro,tomotoe,orange, pineapple and so on.

The kind of soil my maize is growing on.

Basically, in this part of the world loamy is very common and rich which is good and usually use farming in this part of Nigeria, North-central part of Nigeria to be precised. We are richly blessed with nutritious soil that even if there is abundance of rain farmers can plant maize 3 times within the range that rain will starts and when it will ends.

So the soil is one of the earthly natural resources that we have in abundance here which allows you to grow all kinds of crops or planet whatsoever. Loamy soil comes in different kinds of color some are dark,semi-dark,some are semi-brown and brown etc When they are beat with rain, they gum together even if the laomy soil gets dry unlike clay or sandy soil.
