THE NICKNAME

Hello everyone,I guess we are all doing great, welcome to another week of weekend-engagement,#week112.
Here is another fascinating topics as usual,so interesting that I would have talked about all,but a sorry for me because I will only have to choose one.

• Since I have to speak on a topic only,I will have to go with HOW I GOT MY NICKNAME

  Here is a little story attached;

Right from start I am a lover of football,I play it well and I also watch international football ARSENAL FC being my favourite football club,this continued till I started growing up,I have friends who loved football too, so we all gathered to find a local team to join.

God helping us we got one and that was how it started, we started playing competitions and all that.

Meanwhile not being proud,I was a very good player then, being a left shooter,I can dribble anybody with a touch,the bending,pace, agility, strength, vision just like Lionel Messi.

All going well,till we went to play a particular competition (a kind of local government competition in my town),each team representing each street.

The game was going on usual,I was at my top dribbling, assisting, looping passes, in short I had been the best in the competition.

There was a particular match actually,at the final where we were playing with the area of the local government,I mean the local government team, there was presence of highly recognized personel,who were there to watch the match.

  The game started and I started to showcase myself as usual,it was a very competitive game for us,I did my very best which later gave us the lead. To cut the long story short,it ended 4-2 in our favor which I happened to score hattrick (3 goals). The visitors where very pleased with my performance and it was time for presentation of medals and awards.

Luckily I was the best player of the tournament an I was called up by the local government sport director,he called my name and when he saw me, he said "You this boy this again, dribbling everyone like Arjen Robben, Aje ni e oooo", this was the source of my nickname.

  Oops!, I think I will have to explain the statement above,Arjen Robben is a dutch left footed footballer who dribbles and does things like Lionel Messi I mentioned earlier, the statement "aje" means "witch" in my native language, "aje ni eee oooo" meaning "you are a witch" , he was trying to link up the word "Arjen" and "aje" since they are Hormophones,This was how the nickname started,the name keeps spreading especially among footballers in my town,to the extent that there was a time we were playing inter local government,I went to represent my local government, unknowingly to me, "aje" was written on my jersey...lol

People from west in Nigeria would understood this more,but I think everyone should get that.
