Golden Hour: charming sunset over Rudawa River in Krakow

avatar

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Today is the last Sunday of August (sorry students, the back to school time is here again :D), which means that, just like on any other Sunday actually, I am coming with another, fresh contribution to my special photography series dedicated to sunsets. This time around, I am here to share a somewhat artsy photo attempt with you.

A couple of days ago, I was walking along the Rudawa River here in Krakow, Poland just before the sunset. You cannot really see it in the photo but Rudawa, a little tributary to the Wisla River, is running in the moat on the left hand side while I was following the path on the right. In between, there is this low stone wall that is decorated with these massive stone balls. I figured it could be interesting to use one of these balls as the foreground for my shot. I think it turned out pretty nice, giving the picture somewhat artsy feel :)

I am going to wrap the post up here as we are about to leave for a lunch and then visit the hotly anticipated football game Wisla vs. Legia here in Krakow. I will probably write about the match in one of my posts next week.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone and have a great start to the new week tomorrow.

Don´t forget to submit your nominations to my latest upvote giveaway where I reward great but undervalued posts and if you like guessing challenges, stay tuned for the next round of my Monday tipping contest where you can win 5 Hive for guessing the price of our beloved crypto ;)

Let me also remind you that I am running a weekly series where you can share your fresh natural photos and win upvotes for that.

Ta kompozice se mi líbí. Pěšinu vpravo jsem chvíli považoval za potok :-)

Absolutely stunning sunset capture. The evening sunlight reflected on the grasses and the land.

Haha that´s an interesting idea :) I think Hafthor or Eddie might actually lift these, they are such incredible beasts :D Are you a fan of strongmen?

Used to be when I had cabble TV. Strongmen and those contests where people had to chop tree stumps and stuff

Sunset is a magical time and it’s made even more enchanting and mysterious with that giant boulder (like something out of an MC Escher painting).

Would love to visit Poland, one day — closest I’ve been is Slovakia, where I was invited to take part in a poetry festival.

Since you’re a fellow animal lover, below is a poem dedicated to the other marvelous creatures that share this wonderful planet with us:
