Golden Hour: soothing sunset over Rudawa River

(Edited)

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

I had some problems with my laptop due to which, I ended up not being able to use it for almost 2 days and I am sorry I couldn´t post and interact with you guys during that time. It was super frustrating because there was a real possibility that my hard disc got damaged and I was worried that I potentially lost all my files, photos and everything but fortunately, it turned out not to be this horrible scenario. Thanks to a friend of mine, I was able to access the content of my hard disc and copy everything to an external backup disc so now I can reinstall the Windows and hopefully start using my laptop again... Anyway, it´s Sunday today so I am here with another contribution to my golden hour photography series. This time around, I will take you to the bank of the Rudawa River, a little river in Krakow, Poland.

Along the river, there is this low stone wall with these huge stone balls attached to it. I used one of them as the foreground for the shot. It was not an overly impressive sunset that evening as there were not enough clouds to make the sunset scene more interesting but I think it still turned out pretty nice. I like this kind of soothing feel of it...

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone and have a great start to the new week tomorrow.

I know how you feel. It happened to me when I was in Uni as well. I thought I could lose all my school works but luckily they could copy it to the external back-up. That's when I learn always store your important things somewhere else just in case it happens again.

Yeah, exactly the same thing... Glad it eventually turned out well for both of us :) I might write a post about it, it´s just so important to backup your data. Maybe it will help some people to realize, just like I did. Thanks for stopping by Dora, have a nice day :)

If it was a bit more earlier before the sunset, the photo would be much more good. I know it is frustating to lose files in HD. I have thought to buy an external HD for a long time in case of such situations.

Szybkiego powrotu do zdrowia!

You better do it now. Really. I was thinking the same... I was postponing it for years. And then, one day, you wake up and you cannot access the content of your hard disc. I was so lucky that I actually got the chance to still save everything and create a backup...

I actually didn´t have to use any recovery program, the disc was ok. It turned out it was the Windows where the problem was. But you never know, next time it can be the disc what got damaged. I bought an external disc, 750 GB for some 50 dollars. Copied everything there immediately.

Podobný snímek jsi už ukazoval. Tehdy byl ale západ slunce později a také výraznější :-)

Máš dobrou paměť ;) Bylo to z podobného místa. Časově to ale bylo naopak dříve, tenkrát asi hodinu před, teď něco málo po ;)

:-). Takže vlastně stejně. Jen to slunce si mění hodinu západu jak se mu zachce :-)
