You know sometimes I feel like things are running out of control
But I know that you and I can find a way to fix it
No matter what we are handed
We put our heads down and push ourselves and keep moving

We showed up for the toughest year that student life's experienced seen
And we carried you home with up and down
But just hug me because sometimes
It is better to give than receive

Friends may leave
People say all the cliches but we were on track
Good intentions were dead
There is light in the dark and sometimes…
You're just never going to lose your way

So hold on tight because you never know what tomorrow may bring
Now I know what it's like to get it right
It doesn't have to be this way
Don't let the chains of your mistakes hold you back
Just keep fighting and never give up

There's so much pressure and shit
To get life right
But oftentimes we're scared of what's ahead
Give up just when we might be on our way

But you've got to know when
You're given every opportunity to change your life
Talk it all over, take the risk and just follow your heart
Every day is perfect come what may, you have to choose…
