"Breaking Point"

We all have our breaking point
It comes in moments like this
Whether they were memories, fear, or frustration
They were the points that caused an emotion

You switch off your headlights, take your foot off the brake
And get closer to the curb
In your thoughts, you knew what you wanted to do
But roads going both ways

Now your feel not yourself
You start to doubt your laughing sound
Cries out to the sky and listen to yourself
Telling you all the secrets in them, but life isn't fair

Just know that it'll happen when the time's right
That feeling inside of you
That it can't last
Had that moment when you finally break

You told yourself you had to
When your mind starts thinking about the now
The point where we felt like we had enough,
And our feelings will simply burst

We don't have an infinite patience
These sleeves are meant to just tear and not stay.
My breaking point, I'm scared straight
At this breaking point, I'm breaking my own heart.
