"Everything Changes Over Time"

We've got a pact together, We never let go
Everything's been fine, Nothing's gone too wrong
But that's what they want us to believe
What they'll be waiting for just terrifies me

How old is our relationship
Why has it gone so south?
Everything else falls and everything ages
And then in the morning, you set off on your race

As everyone else who's older than you passes you by
You find yourself analyzing the reasons why this is worth fighting for
It's so hard to stop the race when love has you all tied up in knots
You just go on, dodging and persisting all that pain

Look outside your window
It's not the same as it was before
Everything changes over time.
