"Everything That Matters"

A blurry mist is slowly passing through me
I can't understand the meaning of it
It's purpose is to prevent me from moving forward in this path
Allowing me to move through it is impossible

There's nothing in this world that will truly make us happy
Striving to reach our goal is a messy take on an old problem
To achieve a dream that will never happen is a bitterness
It will never be an easy path to take

Striving for perfection is a dream that only fools will think of
I'm a fool in this journey that I desire to take
A path that leads to the destination that I dreamed of
Unreachable yet I'm foolish enough to think that I can be anything

We are not at the center of everything
We are only a speck in this vast tapestry of life
You are one of the reasons that made everything whole
No matter how small we are, we still matter.

Yes, we matter. We all do. No matter what life brings out its sleeve, we matter. No matter the challenges faced, we matter. We just need to keep moving on because we matter.
