And here I am
Just hanging out alone
Watching my youth slip away
And it's sad if we say it's gone

Cause all I wanna do is take you for granted
Walk around without caution
Ain't a damn thing safe these days

Beautiful things gone by the 21st century
Spot my heart up on that shelf
I just can't believe how by the morning time…
I barely see your light in me

I wanna get carried away
Meet the street at night and keep the party brighter than they
Forever burn but hid your light beneath a bushel tree and shine it up on me

Every day I wake up and I ask myself
If I am dreaming of yesterday
Even though it's gone
I still have these dreams of a better life.
