One day it's coming
But I'll put it on pause like the tears in my eyes
I'll tighten my skin and live at the present tonight
Just for a little while

Don't live in the past, don't dream of the future
Find the present, my blessing awaits
These are the moments that make life worthwhile
In a world that's rushing ever onward

I'm searching for the respite I know it's right here on this street
It's right here in this heart by my side
Instead of wasting energy hoping for that lightning to strike

Why not cherish all these moments in time?
So I will protect this precious trip called life
As the present keeps getting full of good reason.
