"We All Need Someone and Something"

Every one of us depends on someone or something
We all need someone and something to survive
We can not live alone in this world
As long as there is love in the world

We're all here slaving for something or someone
Empty our hearts to save somebody
I'm gonna put my love where it's needed
I'm dying for your love

When you reach the end of your rope
And you feel like you have no one left to depend on
Remember back in the day when you looked out for that one person
As they are the only ones that could save your life.

I'm living in this big old world
Lost with no light
It's not easy to get by
To know where the next meal will come from if it comes at all

We can't live on anything at all
Not with this empty mind
You were the only one who could understand me
In this big old heavyweight fence that separates us

Whether you like it or not
We couldn't survive in this world
You need one thing and then you need another
Just no way to live your life, alone by yourself.

"No man is an island." This is the quote that was stuck in my head when I was writing this poem and I really think that it's true in many ways. Like you said "everything is interconnected", thanks for sharing this here 😊
