It is one of the favorite genres of many, it lifts us to a point of creative ecstasy and helps us imagine the possibility of a different world. Beautiful things and thoughts are diluted in this section, but it also includes sadness on occasions as a natural participant in an environment or a story.

Recently I saw a science fiction movie, where the protagonist was Tom Hanks and reincarnated a character named "Finch". I can safely say that it was not only science fiction, it was beyond effects, everything was wrapped in a sublime and sad story wherever you look at it. It's one of those movies that tugs at your heartstrings and diverts many thoughts.

The story tells that the Earth is now in chaos as a result of a solar accident, named as "the flare". The ozone layer, which is responsible for protecting the Earth from the sun's rays, has been affected and totally pierced. This environmental condition destroyed much of what humanity was and now cities seem desolate and sad places. Men, women, and children fought and killed for the last available resources like food, medicine, and more.

In one of the desolate spaces, Finch is found, in the company of his dog and a small explorer robot. But environmental conditions had taken a toll on Finch's health and he was slowly dying. Before the whole climate problem, this was a leading scientist. So he had the idea to create a human-inspired robot that could take care of his dog when he was already away.

The story takes a turn when barely and recently assembled the new robot that will later be called Jeff, must quickly learn to walk and understand relevant human complexities. Severe climate change sets in on Finch's home and technology base, which is sure to be destroyed. In addition, that period will take more than 40 days, a fact that would leave him locked up and without a food supply. So Finch must once again leave his home, grab a few things, and go find a better place for himself and his friends.

Along the way, they encounter a series of situations that test Finch's patience, as well as his bravery. One of the most notable scenes is when he re-enacts how he got his pet, where a mother and a girl were getting food from a cart. A few moments later, a car stopped pointing at the woman and girl, threatening to shoot if they did not deliver the food. The meeting escalates and the man ends up murdering both of them. Moments later, Finch discovers that inside the girl's backpack was a frightened little puppy. He adopts it as his own and dedicates himself to taking care of it, hence the effort to create a robot that can replace him when he dies.

Another notable scene in the film is when Finch is in very poor health and Jeff decides to take the initiative looking for medicine. They enter a hospital and the little explorer robot falls into a trap, being destroyed. Finch wakes up, scared he doesn't know where they are and goes looking for them, he only manages to find Jeff safe and gets him out of there promptly. Now, they were being chased by a dark car, and they are trying to lose him. The scene is one of those that leaves you breathless, you fear for Jeff, you fear that something will happen to Finch, in short, you are left truncated.

Finch's death looms, but happily his last moments were pleasant, since they had found a place to breathe and be in the sun without suffering lacerations. Finch was happy, he had played with his beloved pet and talked about life with Jeff. He dies peacefully.

Jeff and GoddYear (the dog) continue a journey together, between trust and love.

I think the film should be taken, I don't know, for a deeper genre, because it shows us many truths about life itself. One of them is that one day such environmental damage may happen and we humans will be crowned as the most destructive race that damages where it lives. On the other hand, it shows us that despite the circumstances, humans have two ways to live, with good and evil being the original part of everything. The worst conditions often manifest true human evil, that capable of deciding even who lives and who dies.

Another important point, the relationship of love and commitment that a human can develop for his pet. I believe that through the tragic story of Finch and his friends, we solemnly evoke a testimony of love, commitment and sincerity.

Es uno de los géneros favoritos de muchos, nos eleva a un punto de éxtasis creativo y nos ayuda a imaginar la posibilidad de un mundo diferente. Cosas y pensamientos hermosos se diluyen en este tramo, pero también incluye la tristeza en ocasiones como participante nato de un ambiente o de una historia.

Hace poco vi una película de ciencia ficción, donde el protagonista era Tom Hanks y reencarnaba a un personaje llamado "Finch". Puedo decir con propiedad que no solo era ciencia ficción, era más allá de efectos, se envolvía todo en una historia sublime y triste por cualquier lado que le mires. Es una de esas películas que te tocan las fibras y desvían muchos pensamientos.

La historia cuenta que la Tierra ahora esta en caos a raíz de un accidente solar, nombrado como "la llamarada". La capa de ozono que se encarga de proteger a la Tierra de los rayos solares, se ha visto afectada y totalmente agujereada. Esta condición ambiental destruyó mucho de lo que era la humanidad y ahora las ciudades parecen sitios desolados y tristes. Los hombres, mujeres y niños se peleaban y asesinaban por obtener los últimos recursos disponibles como alimentos, medicinas y más.

Por uno de los espacios desolados, se encuentra Finch, en compañía de su perro y de un pequeño robot explorador. Pero, las condiciones ambientales habían marcado sin marcha atrás la salud de Finch y estaba muriendo lentamente. Antes de todo el problema climático, éste era un científico destacado. Por ello tuvo la idea de crear un robot inspirado en un humano que pudiera cuidar de su perro cuando ya estuviera ausente.

La historia toma un giro cuando apenas y recién armado el nuevo robot que más adelante se llamará Jeff, debe aprender prontamente a caminar y entender complejidades humanas relevantes. Un cambio severo climático se sitúa sobre la base de tecnología y casa de Finch, que seguro quedará destruida. Además, ese período tardará más de 40 días, hecho que lo dejaría encerrado y sin suministro de comida. Por eso, Finch debe dejar una vez más su hogar, tomar algunas cosas y marcharse a buscar un mejor lugar para él y sus amigos.

En el camino, se encuentran con una serie de situaciones que ponen a prueba la paciencia de Finch, así como también la valentía. Una de las escenas más notables es cuando recrea el hecho de como obtuvo su mascota, donde una madre y una niña estaban tomando comida en un carrito. A los pocos instantes, se detiene un auto que apunta a la mujer y niña, amenazando disparar si no entregaban la comida. El encuentro se sube de tono y el hombre termina asesinando a ambas. Momentos luego, Finch descubre que dentro de la mochila de la niña había un pequeño cachorro asustado. Lo adopta como propio y se dedica a cuidarle, de allí el empeño de crear un robot que pueda suplirlo al morir.

Otra de las escenas notables de la película, es cuando Finch se encuentra muy mal de salud y Jeff decide tener iniciativa buscando medicinas. Entran a un hospital y el pequeño robot explorador cae en una trampa, siendo destruído. Finch despierta, asustado no sabe donde estan y sale en busca de ellos, solo logra encontrar a Jeff a salvo y lo saca de allí prontamente. Ahora, eran perseguidos por un auto oscuro, e intentan perderle. La escena es de esas que te dejan el aliento cortado, temes por Jeff, temes que le pase algo a Finch, en fin, te quedas truncado.

La muerte de Finch se avecina, pero alegremente sus últimos momentos fueron agradables, puesto que habían encontrado un sitio donde respirar y estar bajo el sol sin sufrir laceraciones. Finch estaba feliz, había jugado con su amada mascota y conversado de la vida con Jeff. Muere plácidamente.

Jeff y el GoddYear (el perro) continuan un viaje juntos, entre confianza y amor.

La película creo que debe ser tomada no se, para un género más profundo, porque nos demuestra muchas verdades de la vida en sí misma. Una de ellas es que puede que un día suceda tal daño ambiental y estaremos coronados los humanos como la raza más destructora que daña donde habita. Por otro lado nos demuestra que pese a las circunstancias, los humanos tienen dos caminos a vivir, siendo el bien y el mal el participe original de todo. Las peores condiciones manifiestan muchas veces la verdadera maldad humana, aquella capaz de decidir de hasta quien vive y quien muere.

Otro punto importante, la relación de amor y compromiso que puede desarrollar un humano por su mascota. Considero, que a través de la trágica historia de Finch y sus amigos, evocamos solemnemente un testimonio de amor, compromiso y sinceridad.
