¡Hola, hola Foodies del Mundo!Hello, hello Foodies of the World!
Do you want a different, easy lunch with a wonderful contrast between sweet and salty?
Then today I present the perfect proposal. It is a beautiful timbale of sautéed rice with lentils, caramelized onions and a poached egg as a crown.

In addition to the textures, they give it a unique touch. The caramelized onions give it a crunchy touch and sweetness at the same time. The amount of dressings, in addition to the texture of sautéed rice with dried lentils, is a 10 out of 10.
From my side, the poached egg is more cooked than normal, I happen to like it that way. However, the notorious characteristic of a poached egg is that when you cut it a little, the semi thick yellow (nucleus) can come out, emerging from the center. This dish, in addition to being beautiful and rich, contains a great supply of proteins and vitamins, ideal to add it to our menus.

Let's start by preparing the rice, so we give it some time so it can rest. We cut the dressings, we place them in our pot, accompanied by the rice. We fry a few minutes.

Añadimos sal a gusto y dejamos cocinar. Reservamos. Now we add 1 cup of water (I like rice that is turbid, so I reduce the amount of water). Add salt to taste and let cook. We turn off when the water has been completely consumed. We reserve.

Llevamos a fuego. Let's continue now with the lentils. We wash them well and place them in a pot with enough water. We carry fire. Meanwhile, we cut the dressings, then we fry them. We add them to the lentils when they are semi soft. Add salt and seasoning to taste. Let soften a little more. Remove from heat and reserve.

Dejamos allí freír y caramelizar a fuego bajo. Reservamos. Now we will caramelize the onions, we can cut them as you like. Place in a pan with the oil and sugar. We leave it there to fry and caramelize over low heat. We stir intermittently. We turn off the heat when our onions get to brown. We reserve.

Extraemos y reservamos.Let's continue with the poached egg. In a small bowl, we place a fairly wide layer of envoplast, there in the center we leave a hole and there we place the egg. We close and form a kind of bag with the egg inside. We tie and take to the water, when it is very hot, but not boiling. It will stay there for 4 to 5 minutes. We extract and reserve.

Finally, we only have to sauté the caramelized onions together with the rice and the drained lentils. Mix for a few minutes and remove from heat. To serve, we take a mold or a cup that is semi high. Fill the container with the sautéed rice and press well, so that it is compacted. Flip over the plate carefully. We unmold. Place the poached egg on top. Sprinkle with Sazonatodo or with any powdered condiment that we like. Cut onion and sprinkle as well.
