Después de mucho tiempo regreso a publicar por aquí y compartirles mi primer intento del reto MERMAY, que viene del juego de palabras de Mermaid y May.

After a long time I'm back to post over here and share with you my first attempt at the MERMAY challenge, which comes from the pun of Mermaid and May.

🐳DAY 01: SIREN🐳

Es un reto que nos obliga a salir de la zona de confort y pasar cada día del mes de Mayo dibujando sirenas; esta la opción de seguí una lista como el inktober o hacerlo libre.

It's a challenge that forces us to get out of the comfort zone and spend every day of May drawing mermaids; you have the option to follow a list like inktober or do it freestyle.

Para el boceto, busque referencias en Pinterest de fotos bajo el agua; quería tener una mejor idea del movimiento del cabello, las tonalidades y posible entorno.

For the sketch, I searched Pinterest for references of underwater photos; I wanted to get a better idea of the movement of the hair, the shades and possible environment.

Después de mucho tiempo sin dibujar les comparto la primera Sirena, también es una gran oportunidad para usar materiales nuevos, conseguí Blocks de Acuarelas de la marca Pointer (tiene muy buena resistencia al agua, el pigmento no se riega sin control) y lo mas especial son unas acuarelas que me regalo una vecina el año pasado de la marca Bianyo, muy pigmentadas y de tonos brillantes.

After a long time without drawing I share with you the first mermaid, it is also a great opportunity to use new materials, I got watercolor blocks of Pointer brand (it has very good water resistance, the pigment does not water uncontrollably) and the most special are some watercolors that a neighbor gave me last year from Bianyo brand, very pigmented and bright tones.
