Safe House of Fisherman Island.

Heading toward the monument, I found an abandoned rail line and Fisherman Island Tower. After dodging a big zombie and a group of infected, I pulled off a close rope swing, dropped a ladder, turned on the power, and restored the safe zone to sleep until morning.

Getting back on track toward the monument, the path led me straight onto an abandoned rail line that looked like an old, run-down railway station.

Spotting a tall structure ahead, I realized it was Fisherman Island Tower, a location that could be turned into a safe zone.

Since the in-game clock showed it was already past 2:00 p.m., I figured restoring power to the tower and sleeping through the night would be the smartest move so I could start fresh in the morning light.

I headed toward an area near the base that looked totally quiet, hoping to avoid any real trouble, but I was completely wrong. It turns out a huge group of infected were camping out around the bottom of the structure.

To make matters worse, a giant zombie wielding a long heavy weapon was standing right in the middle of the crowd. With all the smaller infected and the big guy locking onto me, I had to stop fighting and scramble for a way to climb up the tower as fast as humanly possible.

Finding a climbing route was pretty stressful with the horde on my tail. Fortunately, the big monster didn't use his long reach to hit me while I was hanging onto the ledge.

After two failed attempts, I managed to work my way around to the other side of the tower without falling down to the ground level.

The next parkour section required a tricky rope swing over a massive drop. I lined up my jump, leaped out, and swung across, praying I wouldn't miss the ledge on the far side. I barely made it across and grabbed the platform.

The very first thing I did after pulling myself up was drop down a nearby ladder so I would have an easy shortcut back up if I ever needed it later.

Looking down from the high platform, I noticed a cased-in entrance below that had been completely broken open. It looks like the people living on the island tried to lock themselves in to stay safe from the infected, but the barricades obviously failed.

Moving into the main control room of the tower, I flipped the power switch and successfully restored the safe zone. With the power back on and the shelter secure, I decided to crash on the bed, skip the dangerous night hours, and get ready to push toward the monument at sunrise.

I'll show what happens next later.

I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.

This is Pikachuuuuu signing off. Over and out.

The broken entrance below the tower was interesting. It looks like the people tried to protect themselves by closing it but the infected still managed to break through. That little detail made the place feel sad.

I liked how quickly you changed plans when the horde started chasing you. Forget fighting, just climb first and figure everything else out once you are safely above them. That's a cool strategy.

It was surprising to see so many infected gathered around a place that looked completely quiet from outside. You expected an easy climb but that was an unexpected surprise.
