A Delicious Dinner At Playful Bistro

Did you know that grilled foodies and unlimited rice are my favorite pairs on the table?

Yes, I always love to dine in every place where grilled foodies are available. Many vendors may be selling on the street, but there is always that one stall that I always love to visit, and that is the Playful Bistro.

Playful Bistro is one of the popular food houses in our town because of its delicious foods and cool ambiance specialized for barbeque and grilled food lovers. And I am not an exception when it comes to foodies like these since I so love street foods.

Aside from having delicious food, what I love the most here is its affordable prices. They do not only offer grilled and barbeque but as well as soups like Bulalo also at the cheapest price.

The food house is around a 15-minute ride from my home. One fine evening, we decided to try dining in since every time we go there, the place is so crowded as it is only a small food house located near the highway. This could be the possible reason why a lot of customers are dining in here for it can be easily seen by bypassers every night.

They are only open during night time from 6 pm to 11 pm. Although the area is just small it gave me a different ambiance compared to other food houses that I have tried. And it was a satisfying experience.

I so love to grill and cook food in charcoal, not to mention that my country is home to a wide variety of delicious barbeque and grilled dishes that are sure to satisfy taste buds.

Since I was younger I have been enjoying barbeque and grilled foods. So when I arrived at the place, I knew already what I should order since barbeque and grilled foods in the Philippines are known to be delicious.

And here are the raw barbeques placed at the trays of different parts of the chicken and pork.

One of the most popular types of barbeque and grilled foods in Playful Bistro is pork. Pork barbeque is a common street food that you can find almost anywhere in the country.

As you could see, thin slices of pork were skewered on bamboo sticks. They were marinated in a sweet and savory sauce. After enough time. for marinating, they will be grilled over hot coals, making them a tender, juicy, and flavorful piece of meat that is perfect for snacking or even as a main course.

Another popular grilled food in Playful Bistro is chicken Inasal or grilled chicken. It is a gripped Chicken that is marinated in a mixture of calamansi juice, lemongrass, garlic, and other spices before being grilled over hot coal.

After checking for the raw barbeques on different trays, I finally decided to order Pork Barbeque, Chicken Inasal, Hotdogs, Chorizo, Isaw, and Chicken Feet.

They were selling Bulalo, but I only bought the Bulalo soup for the cheapest price since I was not in the mood to eat beef. I just wanted the moment to feel the pork and chicken barbeques.

I then paid for my orders at the cashier and had given my orders to the staff who were grilling barbeques outside.

Afterward, I went inside the dining area to look for a comfortable table where I could spend time during dinner together with my brother and siblings.

I was given table number 21, and I was feeling delighted as I have seen the cute panda that was eating a bamboo stalk, beautifully painted on the wall.

While waiting for the orders, I had the opportunity to see a glimpse of what was found inside.

I took a quick photo of the tables. And here are the dining tables at Playful Bistro.

The tables were a combination of wood with a slab of foam on the chairs. The table was good for four. And it was the right place for all of us.

The tables were so cool as I was sitting comfortably. While being seated here, I could feel the aesthetic vibes inside.

Meanwhile, I captured the ceiling portion and found out that it was wooden with full of lights that reflect a beautiful flash inside the dining area.

I also noticed a beautiful note painted on the ceiling with a message that said about the Christian world and I felt a light in my heart while reading it.

And after a while, our orders arrived. Here are the foodies that were served on our table.

All of the food was cooked so well. There were no raw barbeques and I enjoyed my dinner for having a good taste of all the foodies that we have ordered.

What I so love here is having the banana plates. You know the rice has a good smell when placed on a banana plate.

Playful bistro uses banana leaves as plates. This is a native way of dining in. How I love to eat barbeques with my bare hands without using a fork and spoons.

I was so full since I had unlimited rice, not to mention that when the barbeques were gone at the plates, we ordered more.

And of course, the soups of the bulalo satisfied my hungry stomach. It was also tasty. What made the barbeques here in Playful Bistro was the presence of a homemade hot and spicy sauce. I was really satisfied with everything I have eaten and I had a great night.

Perhaps every Filipino knows that the Philippines is not complete without grilled foods. I must say that Playful Bistro was a good place to satisfy my cravings.

Playful Bistro looks like my kind of place to eat delicious grilled meats and other items! In the USA we call those skewered chickens "Chick-on-a-Stick" 😀

This was the first time I ever saw banana leaves used as plates - very visually appealing and a classy touch @pinkchic

Cool! I love how you call the barbeque chick-on-sticks there in the US, dear Nina. I wonder if there is an offer of unlimited rice, too.

Fun facts about banana plates here in the Philippines are eating with only bare hands without forks and spoons, and it feels so good to eat with these plates in native restaurants and food house.

I genuinely appreciate your wonderful remark, especially for your precious attention. Have a nice time!
