A Simple Yet Delightful Weekend!

It was a wonderful weekend to remember as I shared precious moments at my brother’s place. Who would have thought that an unplanned visit turned into an exciting adventure to Mantibugao, that is a serene village in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon?

What I love in this place is the opportunity to witness breathtaking views since the area is quite away from civilization, so less noise and a more peaceful place to live in. I so love to stay here during the daytime but at night time, it always feels so good to be back home.

As I arrived at my brother’s place, I witnessed the clouds that looked like soft pieces of cotton. You know how I love the clouds so much especially when the sky is so vibrant. So I took quick photos of the side of his house being enclosed by wires with the presence of the ornamental plants.

Once again, my heart was full as I saw the dancing clouds surrounded by vibrant colors all around. How I love the greenery and serenity of the place.

At that moment, his wife was cooking boiled bananas with the perfect blend of the most famous Philippine condiment, the bagoong.

If you have not tried this simple snack, you should taste it. The bagoong is made from tiny pieces of fish that had been salted and processed through fermentation.

I was so hungry as arrived at his place, so we had the bagoong and soda drink for snacks. Perhaps it was also a perfect blend with Coca-cola zero sugar as it quenched my thirst and even satisfied my cravings since it has been a while since I have not tasted and tried this foodie for snacks.

Aside from the breathtaking views and delicious foodies, what awaited me there was a small piggery having colorful and adorable pigs.

So as soon as I was done eating my snacks, I went to the back of the house and visited the pigpen. And as soon as I arrived, I took a selfie in front of the piggery as I was surrounded by the pigs.

Excited as I was, I captured these precious moments and began snapping selfies with the pigs.

As I looked at them, they seemed just as curious about me as I was about them, too. They were trying to be closer to me as I saw their innocence and curiosity and each click of the camera captured their adorable appearance.

The pigs were caged. The first cage I visited was filled with a combination of pink, black, and white pigs. They looked so cute and they seemed hungry as I was becoming closer to them.

The pigs kept on pushing their mouth on the red cage expecting that I would feed them as they also ended up teasing each other. And here are some of the quick snaps of the cute little pigs as they were playing with each other.

I even laughed at them aside from feelings of happiness as I saw the sight of these vibrant animals that even filled my heart with joy, especially the delightful pink pigs that stole my attention.

As I explored the area, I noticed that the pig pens were neatly arranged. I must say that it provided a comfortable environment for the pigs to roam freely.

I also got the chance to feed them and it was an unforgettable experience. I got a bucket of feed and then I eagerly approached the pens.

The moment I scattered the food, the pigs gathered around and they are so fast with their snouts busily rooting through the feeds.

Honestly, the vibrant and awesome colors of the pigs caught my attention immediately. Among them, the pink pigs stood out as they look so charming to me.

You know how I so love pink. And that the rosy complexion of these little pigs made them so unique as they were so playful which added the reason why they instantly won my heart.

Meanwhile, I noticed the pink sky at an angle as I also witness the breathtaking sunset on the other side of the sky.

And that, the fascinating view of the sunset was a great sight to behold with its mesmerizing hues of pink and golden shades.

I moved at a distance from the pigpen and captured some amazing views when the Sun was about to go down as I played with the surrounding wild grasses.

And when it turned into evening, I had a delicious dinner as we were all sharing food.

My brother cooked for us and we had a variety of foods at the table just like grilled fish, pork sisig, and sinigang. I was so full and I went home after dinner.

Indeed, the peaceful ambiance mixed with the oinks and noise of the pigs made my day as it was a unique experience holding a special place in my heart. Perhaps it may be a simple moment at Mantibugao but truly a delightful weekend.
