Now and then, I find myself traveling to newly opened cafes nearby. One fine day, I was traveling toward Del Monte in Manolo Fortich, and as I passed by Damilag, I was interested in dining at Rey's Warehouse after work.

Rey’s warehouse is an amazing stopover for both food and open-air vibes. A little back story of this place, it is owned by the Councilor Rey of Manolo Fortich with her wife, Portia who was once an international flight attendant back then and she is a recently retired flight attendant. In one of her interviews, she said that her flights all around the world had inspired her to open a unique smoked meat cafe. And with her love for sports bars, she came across while flying routes to both the United States and Canada.

What makes this cafe unique is the presence of a sports bar with a cozy atmosphere. I was truly impressed when I went there for the first time. And I was so excited to try the delicious smoked pork ribs.

With her interests in both sports bars and cafes, she put together a wonderful cafe in their old family warehouse with the help of her loving husband. She may not be traveling around the world as often anymore for being a flight attendant, but I so love how she got inspiration from her previous travels and used this opportunity to find something wonderful in Manolo Fortich.

Most of the hanging decorations were do-it-yourself designed by the owner. As displayed on the ceiling is an old bicycle assembled with lights and lots of native pots with the greenery. All the decors made the place so wonderful.

And yes, there was a big screen for unlimited streaming of big sporting events!

While I was dining there, what was seen on the big screen was the NBA playoffs. I do love basketball too as many Filipinos love this sport.

While waiting for my order, I got the chance to take quick snaps of its comfortable dining areas. And here are some snaps that I captured.

This corner is popularly known as the Yaka. Yama is a binukid term that means sitting on the floor. As I looked at it, it is like a Korean and Japanese way with a touch of a native Filipino style.

The interior design is truly so impressive. I love the arrangement of the furniture and fixtures. The plants made the place so relaxing and refreshing.

And on another corner, I captured some relaxing seats to stay. There were glass tables, comfy chairs, and other areas outside adding options for all customers.

There is also an area for karaoke and live singing. At that moment, there were no customers singing. And as they say, it always happens every Friday night and weekends.

I so love the design of the place. It is very cool and has plenty of areas to chill, relax, and sit. This is a good place to dine and have a good time with friends and loved ones.

The Smoked Pork Ribs

And I got to try the delicious smoked pork ribs and the salad sidings were so fresh too.

The smoked meats are truly delicious.

Everything in this cafe was great. There was also a coffee there in collaboration with Budz Coffee which is a coffee made with aromatic beans from Ipasugong, Bukidnon along with a blend of local fresh milk.

I am sure to be back here once more to watch a big sports game and try their enticing slab of ribs!l together with my family and loved ones!
