Exploring A Spectacular Marine-Themed Park

avatar

Exploring a destination where everything is all about life and living creatures delighted me, along with relaxing spots, the array of enticing views, exciting attractions, and enriching animal exhibits.

Cebu City is proud to have a marine-themed park near the SM Seaside City.

It is popularly known as the Cebu Ocean Park. And it is the powerhouse of life among the best creatures over and under the sea.

The Entrance

At the entrance, the show schedule and park safety were displayed by the management.

The central tank gallery feeding happens every 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM. The meet show and meet and greet happens every 12:00 noon, 1:30 PM, 3:00 PM, and 4:30 PM.

The safety rules include preventive measures to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and the general rules for all visitors as displayed on the Ocean park rules.

All visitors can buy tickets in the Ticketing area and fronting it is the Photo Booth.

And then I saw a display that said, “Your journey starts here.”

The main entrance is a jungle trek with the attendant putting a stamped mark on my hand.

When anyone enters the premises, each one is not allowed to go out.

Upon entering, I saw many colorful fishes in the tanks. I paused for a while and captured them.

I have seen different kinds of sea creatures on various setups.

We had to climb up and down the stairs, and there were escalators and elevators too.

There was nothing wrong with the attractions, but the passages could be confusing of where to enter and pass. But, glad that we had made it to the exit, although we were hurrying to take the next ride on the Ocean jet.

As I see the place for the very first time, I am thinking about educational tours with my students. Aside from its perfect ambiance for educational trips, the oceanarium is an ideal place to relax physically and mentally.

The vast and diverse world of the Cebu Ocean Park boasts so many attractions such as:

World of Creepy Crawlies

The creepy crawlies section contains frogs, geckos, cockroaches, hedgehogs, insects, spiders, snakes, and crocodiles.

I explored and discovered many creepy creatures and took shots of them.

And here are the creepy crawlies found at the Cebu Ocean park.

The place may be creepy, but it made me smile.

I kept eyeing this creature as it jumped, ran, ate, and played.

They were challenging to capture as they were fast-moving. It was an excellent opportunity to observe them and learn more about their behavior.

Most of all, among the creatures in the world of creepy crawlies, the snake is the most horrible to me. I captured them in different colors.

Meanwhile, the attendant told me to hold the snake. I was almost crying, and I could not dare to have it.

So he smiled and described how it felt. He said that having the snake was like a leather bag made of snakeskin.

And then, I have also seen a glimpse of crocodiles in the stunning tunnel.

I am feeling the Seven Seas experience through the oceanarium.

And all of a sudden, we entered to the mini aquariums.

I found the clownfish, made me remember Nemo.

Finally, I was able to enter inside the aquarium. I felt I am the biggest fish surrounding all the colorful fishes.

Oceanarium

Cebu Ocean Park has an oceanarium, and it is home to thousands of species of marine creatures.

Here, anyone can walk through a relaxing long curved walkway tunnel that gives tourists a fantastic feeling of being surrounded by eels, stingrays, sharks, and other creatures swimming overhead the stunning tunnel walkway.

I have seen stunning sea creatures such as jellyfish. I love seeing them gliding gracefully beneath and above the water's surface like dancing sea fairies.

It was very soothing, and the tunnel that paved inside the tank was spectacular, but it ended quickly. I wish it were very long, but overall, it got a five-star to me.

Parrot Show

There is a massive complex on the topmost part, and here, one of the most intelligent birds in the world can be found, which is the parrot. The parrot show was dynamic and interactive for people of all ages.

Since we arrived at noon time, we were able to witness the who as the parrots had a high-flying thrill and spectacular showmanship.

The feathered friends entertained the audience with amazing stunts, fantastic tricks, amazing stunts with guest participation, and an important environmental message for everyone.

The sights were incredible, and the parrots were entertaining, but we were confused about what to do next as soon as we stepped in.

Fish Spa

Upon exit, it led us to the fish spa. The fish spa was. Surrounded by restaurants and snack bars. There are lots of restaurants and snack bars there serving Asian and western cuisines.

The Fish Spa was so enticing. I asked the ticket seller, and she said she would be offering a promo package so I could avail of it, but I only had a limited time exploring Cebu Ocean park. I wish I had tried it and gotten my feet nibbled by the excellent fish there.

The fantastic show, the amazing exhibits, and the experience were so incredible.

It was an excellent tour to enjoy seeing the fishes and other creatures during the daytime, but I think it will be more attractive and fascinating to the oceanarium during the nighttime due to the translucent marine wonders in the park.

The ocean park was like a gigantic mall that had a massive aquarium as an attraction for visitors. There are far more food places, shops, and attractions but I only had a limited time when I visited the spectacular marine-themed park.

Overall, it was a fun-filled experience and an incredible adventure. We had a wonderful time at Cebu Ocean Park, and I wish to return for another thrilling moment.

You gave us a fantastic tour! I love the coloured and movements fishes. It gives me peace and calm.

In Spain we have the Oceanographic in Valencia. I was two times there and is very similar to this park. I remembered my visit there reading your post.

You have to return to have your fish spa session!!

Hugs, dear. 🥰😘

Aww, it just happened my feet landed in this place, my dear cesca. How I love the view of an amazing creatures display and exhibit. I wish to come back once more for the fish spa, hehe. If only I could take my students here, I would. We are living in the Mindanao area of my country, and this is in Visayas. So probably, not an easy thing for a lot of permission, and you know here on my side, educational yours had to involve a lot of permissions and processes. Once again, thanks a lot dear.

This is just a few kilometers away from my house but I haven't got a chance yet to visit this one of the wonderful tourist attractions in Cebu. Indeed, it is a perfect place for the educational tour for sure students will enjoy the place and learn deeply about sea creatures. Maybe if I was there I would definitely skip the snake area. Nice photographs @pinkchic!

Awww, I just know now that you are living in Cebu sis. You know, I really love Cebu. It was my first time traveling in here since I am from the province of Bukidnon. When I stepped at the Mactan
airport, I was so amazed of everything.

And then going to the SM Sea Side City, there were long bridges, and then the fantastic tunnel, the car ran so fast, so I only had a few pic and was not able to take a video of the tunnel. I never expected that tunnel. It is a very relaxing City. How I love to be back there.

By the way, I hope you could visit there one day and dare to hold the snake, hehe. That was the hardest thing for me, and I did not hold it, really very creepy.

Have a wonderful day sis and take care.

It was a fantastic park in Visayas here on my side, my friend. But I was scared of some creepy crawlies. However, I wanted to return there once more for the foot spa by the fantastic fishes. I wonder how it feels.
