Festival Prep Mode!

My students and I were so busy earlier preparing for the Festival Dance Competition. Behind the scenes, I have witnessed how creative and determined everybody was to excel and work hard for a common goal.

Two days from now, they will be performing at the school-covered court for the Banog-banog festival of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Philippines along with the other contestants who will perform Festival Dances in all parts of the country. After the dance steps were finalized, they started making their props.

Despite being busy, I could say that the day was filled with so much productivity as I guided them on how they could make their festival dance fantastic. I allowed them to use my time in the first period so they could finish everything before the day of the competition.

I was so happy to see my students working with each other as they collaborated to brainstorm ideas and strive to bring very presentable designs and backdrops for their Festival Dance. I was the one who suggested the props and I was so amazed at the creativity unleashed.

Perhaps there was a good sense of camaraderie and it ended up with very good outputs. The backdrops were towering and each piece depicts the culture of Manolo Fortich. I had big smiles and felt like the happiest teacher for having very good students.
