Zoom Out and Enjoy Your Profit

You have to pay yourself at some point. You can't just invest every time and watch the market. So my question to you is, why are you investing? Of course to make some profit. But if you reinvest your profit every time, then you may never get a chance to eat the fruits of profit when needed.

You are here to make some money and you never click the sell button. This way, you'll never make any money! So if you have some altcoins invested, let's say 1% of your portfolio. Those altcoins may have gone now to 30x! So, it's now 30% of your entire portfolio consists of all the coins!

Take the profits! Get some money off the table!

It just feels so good to have some capital back from an investment. Take some profits out of your altcoins, you may buy some bitcoins at a low price or put them into stable coins like USDT. Or you can just keep the profit for your vacation. My point here is to enjoy the profit from an investment while you can. If you can't enjoy the benefits of an investment, then what's the point of investing?

I can share my experience with it! I invested in XRP back in 2017 and I was in good profit back in 2017. At that time, the XRP price went to $3 and my profit was almost 8x than my investment. Some people at that time suggested that the XRP price may go to $10. And I blindly follow those suggestions; I was greedy. Now, look what that greediness brought me!

Since then, the XRP price has never gone back to even $2! Now 2021 is running, and I am still stuck. If I sold at that time, maybe I could have bought the XRP at dip again! Greed is not good; we read this in our childhood. Still, we forget to follow it.

In 2017, or 2018 there were so many people who were like paper millionaires. They invested millions of dollars into cryptocurrencies and never sold anything! Most of those coins trended down to almost zero! Some of them bounced back and went to new highs during this altcoin season. But that doesn't need to be you! Don't just be a paper millionaire! Click the sell button once in a while and make yourself a millionaire for real! That's how you can consolidate profits. That's how you can make a long-term position in the market.

Sometimes you need to zoom out. So many investors are stuck thinking about what's going to happen in an hour, what's going to happen tomorrow. They are all stressed out about it.
So, try to zoom out a little bit! Most people overestimate what they can accomplish in a year, a month, a week, or a day! They are like - "I am going to 100x my balance in this Bitcoin long and make billion dollars!"

But it doesn't work out like that! But on the flip side, most investors underestimate what they can accomplish in 5 years or ten years! If I tell you, you could be a millionaire if you put your money in this market situation for five years, would you do that? I bet most of the people will do. Don't just look for 1 hour or 1-day profit. Zoom out and look at the big scenario!

If you're out there gambling on 100x leverage, throwing your entire weekly paycheck into some dog or shit coins, you're going to run into trouble! That's just the reality. Have some patience and make a long-term investment goal with some disciplines! This is how a lot of people built a lot of wealth using cryptocurrencies. It's not any trick! You just have to be disciplined enough to follow the rules of long-term investment.

People talk a lot about going back to 2011 or 2012 to buy some Bitcoins at a low price. They are talking about which's not possible! They don't think about which is possible. They even feel pressured when they see crypto prices are going down. If you really want to make a large amount of money, then make a long-term plan.

There is a time for investment and a time to reap the benefits of your investment.

I think its a gut thing way more than a brain thing.

Especially when it comes to taking profit.

Sometimes you'll be wrong...but how wrong could you be if you handled important things in your life or with your portfolio.

If you took it out to sort out your life I doubt that can be regarded as a bad move.

Then if you handled your portfolio...its only a loss once you sell...so...chill

I'm more of a profiteer in the market...I only invest in project that have immediate utility to me like hive, steem and BAT.

So i watch them closely.

Nice post though.

PEACE
