Learn how to apply your values, attitudes and skills to reach success in your projects.

Today I would like to share a reflection with you, dear readers. We all lead busy lifestyles. Because of our different jobs many of us are committed to personal projects or other activities, many to work and others to study.

We want to start a business, aspire to a promotion at work, or we are trying to begin our own project by blogging like many of us on this platform.

With these different projects, we want to achieve various goals in the professional and personal areas; we want success, recognition, visibility, etc.

The common goal is to make the goal we seek to achieve the reason to feel alive because, we want to make a little contribution to society through this. We will take a step forward to stop being spectators and become participants.

But what happens when we cannot do what we want for reasons beyond our control? What if our evolution, is limited by shared emotional barriers?

We get lost along the way; the bureaucracy and the system put the shackle on us and give us the stop sign. We are halfway to the goal, with our arms down and our morale low.

At this point, there are only two alternatives; there are no longer any. The first is to settle for what happened, and the second is to prepare the umbrella and face the storm to emerge triumphant.

If we are one of those who take the first alternative, this is it, that's all. The road is over, and we will dedicate ourselves to seeing the days go by; without daring, being wrapped in emptiness, our path through this life will be a simple process. We will reach the goal without pain or glory.

If we take the second option and leave the door open to all possible struggles to achieve our goals, we must consider several factors. We must apply a combination of factors, like values, attitude, and skills, to advance and win our projects.

I will describe below those values, attitudes, and aptitudes that I consider transcendental when undertaking any project. Of course, apart from the ones I will mention here, there are many others, so if you think I have overlooked any relevance, let me know in the comments.

Values

Values are fundamental in a work project. We all believe in something that moves and motivates us, and we maintain it throughout our projects so that we don't get lost or don't give up.

1 Perseverance:

Show different skills to protect yourself from the rain on the road. Patience is one of the most important things. Through it, we can progress no matter how many obstacles we encounter. This means that if an idea doesn’t result, we will find another one and continue our project until we hit the mark.

2 Passion:

Passion is what we experience when we do something that we enjoy. If you don’t feel connected to the project you are about to do if you are doing it for financial compensation. I suggest thinking about it and finding something you can identify with because passion defines us, and we will reflect it in our projects.

3 Dedication:

Dedication is the capacity for commitment and the ability to deliver that we must have to complete our project.
We must make it clear that we will make sacrifices like staying up late with friends and spending unnecessary time on social networks because to move forward with our project we must prioritize everyone.

Attitude:

Attitude is how we approach and handle projects. It is essential to pay attention to the work of each process. Always remember to control yourself physically and mentally.

1 Patience:

Patience is waiting for our project to grow without getting desperate. It is our best partner because it allows us to push and get up whenever we need it. If there is no immediate result, patience is required; thinking that every step no matter how small, leads us down that path until we see the desired result.

2 Optimism:

If delusion emerges, all we have to do is get rid of those thoughts and replace them with thoughts that fill us with positivity which is optimism.
We reach out to our friends and family and ask for their support; we don’t get through the storm alone. Two heads think well than one, and often small talk leads to fantastic ideas when we get together with friends or family.

3 Adaptability:

Not everything is always what we want it to be. Adaptability is crucial for the blossoming of our projects; when problems arise, we have to solve them quickly and efficiently, which is nothing but the ability to adapt or cope with change.

Aptitude:

Aptitude in a project is the ability to make things happen because we have the tools to do them, but if we don’t have the tools, we must unleash our potential to make it happen. Prove ourselves and what we can do within our limits.

1 Time Management:

Time is a fundamental factor when working on any project. First, we need to learn how to manage it to increase productivity. We achieve this through good organization and planning, allocating the necessary time to each phase.

We must understand that time is a significant factor in the development of projects, but not decisive. We initially thought the first part of the project would take a week, but it was no surprise that it took two weeks. Timing has to be fixed, as variables have to consider. It is not in our hands.

2 Schedule:

The planning will be fundamental for our project; if we do well, we will have success assured. To carry out good planning, we must be clear about our primary and secondary goals are; for grouping. Good planning requires integrating all strategies and objectives and paying attention to each priority.

3 Organization:

The organization is nothing more than knowing how to manage the work you need to do to achieve good results on different goals. We will execute this through good coordination. You can avoid project delays by setting small tasks for yourself and strictly following them the next day to stay organized and move on to other tasks.

Finally, we must understand who we are, what values determine us, and how we stand in the face of all the difficulties we face in implementing the plan. We need to know how to improve it. Use your brainpower with various skills and tools to release the parachute and enjoy calm and victory after the storm.
